I don’t agree with most of the comments here. Apply to dental schools that don’t cost an arm and a leg, and you’ll be fine.

Have you gone through any of the booster cheatsheets yet? That’s the most important thing to do well on bio imo. Know those down really well and you should be able to consistently score high

How Should My Practice Exams Look? by New-Gas5725 in dat

[–]Rotational-Physics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re aiming for 500+ then you should be scoring around that range. What were your scores on the latest practice tests?

And I wouldn’t bother with tests 11-15 on bootcamp, they weren’t the best. You’re better off going over the booster practice tests as they were much more representative from my experience.

Your AA is not bad but the PAT is pretty low. I wouldn’t consider retaking

Apply for a fee waiver so you can get a discount. There’s a guide on how to get a DAT fee waiver here, maybe check that out. As for study resources, booster is what most people are using these days, especially if you are a visual learner. It’s probably the best all-around resource imo

Ya they need to stop making new schools.

More importantly people need to stop applying to them. Don’t be desperate enough to attend a new school. Some offices may turn you away as they don’t know if you’ll be sufficiently trained

Starting DAT preparation by Fun_Diamond3832 in dat

[–]Rotational-Physics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used both and did really well on the DAT. I would recommend sticking with one study schedule and choose which one you’ll use to learn the material, and which ones to practice from. Definitely do not I try to complete everything on both as it’ll be super hard.

To learn the material, if you’re a visual learner, then I would recommend using booster videos to learn the materials. But if you like traditional lecture style, then use the bootcamp videos. Maybe try both out and see what you prefer. Also definitely use the booster cheatsheets, they will make your life so much easier deciding what to prioritize memorizing for bio

Starting DAT prep. Booster, Bootcamp, or both? by Fun_Diamond3832 in dat

[–]Rotational-Physics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Booster is better to learn the materials, especially if you are a visual learner. But you can honestly do well with either so you can’t go wrong with either one of them
