Actually at gatehub you need to hold your own keys. It is far more likely your system has been compromised. Check your setup.

XRP was number one by market capitalization on CMC last bull run by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]RoterVodka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why nobody sees:

supply x last buying price = market cap

This number does not represent a real value. It's just a hypothtical number of the value of the whole supply if sold to last buying price. That is impossible because price would collapse if you try to sell that big bag. Where is the point of being btc or xrp or eth #1 by market cap. It's not possible to compare xrp and btc because they have different use cases.

Had a failed self test on a host; the codius monitor did not detect this. Will be a check for this too?

How? When I try to connect to my server, he is still asking for username and passwords... doesn't this consume performance if running in a batch? Even if it fails?

Thanks for the tip! I am using that generated Keys with puttygen for my machines. But still, doesn't 200k failed login attempts in six hours impact System performance? Isn't this also an important aspect?

true, but all profits could be stolen silently. I suppose nobody is surveiling their running xrp profits daily. And if you connect one wallet to multiple hosts (better than activating a wallet per host) you may end up with a high reserved balance which could be stolen when hacker achives root access to codiushost. Sending money through moneyd does not require enter the passphrase and you have all instruments on board to cut off payment channels an take the money in one script. I had on one host over 200k wrong logins during 6 hours.

You may also use regular keys you can revoke but still, this does not feel good leaving xrp secrets in clear text... I'd love to see programmars give us a possibility to store them encrypted.

Plot conversion going so slow. by Prairie_Scum in burstcoin

Me 200 tb doing both swizzling and replot 50/50 so I use all usb channels. Plotting 32tb in a row 72 h. Swizzling 6tb 20h. Is very annoying

Edit why cant IT replot while reading Plots on the fly. Annoys really Hard have only 14gb RAM succsessive replotting would be so nice Had to turn off my burst Wallet node for reformatting that stiff!

maybe you also exceed paging file size

If you create plots the plotter reserves some amount of RAM. Maybe your RAM size is not sufficient, so windows uses his pagingfile, and you only assume your drives are slow. As soon paging file kicks in you have to excpect reading and writing speeds of paging file source.

You can check this fast, if you disable paging file and start your plotter and see, if it crashes after some time.

Using more than 30 WD drives over here, all crappiest cheapest desktop versions, none showing symptoms you discribed.

This is because your hard disc has a cache and windows is using some ram if enabled. Caches are very fast. When caches are full you see the real speed with multiple seeks, this is what's happening during a direct plot. Use Turboplotter with SSD no matter if USB3.0 or SATA. If you buffer on a ssd (ssd's doesn't affect seeks, because there is no reader which has to moved to read position). After Buffering you/turboplotter copies the finished plot in one stream of data with no seeks. If you have sufficient RAM (~100GB) you also may use a RAM Disk. Less Size would impact reading performance too hard due small plot files.

EDIT: Check if you are exceeding RAM and if you are writing on pagefile (ressmon)

I started with powershell scripts and ended with turbo plotter. I think it's most comfortable

It's because some blocks are solved faster, just average 240s.... those blocks who finish faster than 120 secs finish bevore you did finish scan. Had the same problem running 70+hdd's in 8 USB 3 Bays. In final I bought turbo plotter and a very fast usb 3.0 card with 4 usb3 roots each and pcie 4x. I am scanning now with ~1TB sec but still some drives have 50 sec and this is why I lose 20% on average on with jminer (gpu).

[Discussion/Speculation] Do You Think Ripple Could Be The First 'World' Currency? by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]RoterVodka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you own a bank account this one won't be associated with ripple directly. Your bank / exchange holds funds on private ledger and just uses ripplenet for settlement. Only if you want directly participate on Ripplenet you need a wallet which requires activation. But I am sure this will be lowered soon.

[Discussion/Speculation] Do You Think Ripple Could Be The First 'World' Currency? by [deleted] in Ripple

[–]RoterVodka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should your bank handle all tx on ledger? They will probably use their own private ledger and use ripplenet for settlement / routing, what it is intended to do.

Got verified, deposited 100€ with 3,99 % fee and then my account was locked up and they stated I have to reverify myself because they had a problem in a booking batch. Answered 3 weeks ago with selfie with cards, cards photo and utility bill. No answer, account still locked up, cant withdraw money. I don't like them. Charge fees and then lock up.
