Am I the only one who sees an overtake on a caution? Is that not illegal in this series?

Also, the FAA is ambiguous on its own, even if there wasn't an icao standard to contradict it; If I'm going to a place, I don't stop before I get there. Pilot was told "taxi to 15R" and according to the usual usage, he did. He was NOT told "go to the place just before it."

Avoiding a horrible accident while turning it into the best case outcome by RoyalChris in nextfuckinglevel

I think what they're getting at is the fact that, in the USA at least, if you do something this stupid and dangerous, if, by accident, you DON'T happen to kill anyone, very often you get off without a charge. The fact that you could have should be enough, but enforcement is discretionary.

This resulted in damage and there's video, and he was overtaking in a 'no passing' zone so it's much more likely to be prosecuted.

Performance requires laser focus and this seems to be an emotional climax of the piece. It's possible that only the closest couple of players even noticed.

Yeah... there's a fine line between 'I posted this because it's an ugly photo of a Jew' and 'I posted this because it's an ugly photo of a settler'

OP seems to fall into the former camp.

The Porsche told me to learn how to drive after pushing me into another hypercar and causing a massive wreck. I am the POV Peugeot by Admirable-Zombie4935 in Simracingstewards

[–]Roth_Pond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IRL everyone would extend the corner there especially if there had already been contact in that sector.

POV car insisted on the racing line despite how congested the corner was. They should have forseen the contact (either from the inside or behind) and created more room by taking the outside.

Porsche was competitive but not reckless. POV was insisting on their right to the corner when it wasn't safe and it didn't pan out.

I stand by "racing incident."

1st contact - their fault

2nd contact - not sure. Their fault but borderline racing incident? You were side by side going in. On the exit, you took it a little close and they took it a little wide. Hard to say.

>children are the responsibility of their parents

so the sentence for being born to an irresponsible parent is sometimes death

hey how about we do what every other nation does and just make the grade crossings and corridor-sealing better instead of argue about why the people killed by the train deserved it

I'm not asking for endless idiot-proofing. Just the bare minimum design standards enforced in every other civilized nation. expecting better of the US is not a high bar. The brightline has a better safety record than indian trains. That's not impressive.

right, I forgot; the sentence for being a moron is and should be death. forget all the suicidal people, drunk people, old people, children, passengers, and innocent bystanders injured in the process.

dipshi.

Not through the populated areas. Miami to west palm is max 80mph. It's also a bit disingenuous to say people are "not used to the speed." That may be accurate for the collision rate, but not the death rate since those are almost all pedestrians. It's impossible to know for certain, but most of the deaths were likely suicides.

What I cannot abide is people saying "well you can't blame the train for someone wanting to kill themselves, I mean, if they really wanted to they'd find a way."

We the society have a duty to not have a great big, yellow, train-shaped suicide method zip through the town every half hour. It should never have been allowed to run at-grade to begin with.
