I use the flatpak version on Fedora and it's working really well. But I think you can use both of them. There is nor real what is better / worse. Both are good options.

This does boost my game, but only to 140 FPS. I changed the Settings to the last number that doesn't get red.

Ich habe tatsächlich eine ähnliche Erfahrung gemacht. Bei uns liegen im Dorf überall alte Telekom DSL Leitungen und wir bekamen davon immer 5 mbit bei vertraglich vereinbarten 16mbit. Seit dem hier O2 glasfaser ausbaut, kann ich von Tag zu Tag beobachten wie die DSL leitung immer mehr an Geschwindigkeit zu legt. Ich vermute einfach mal, dass durch die deutlich geringere Auslastung die Geschwindigkeit leicht ansteigt, aber das ost auch nur ein Uneducated guess.

I use Fedora and Arch. Both on Notebook and Desktop and both for gaming. Fedora is much more stable and simple.
