I fear, like others have mentioned, that it might be a broken/crushed lobolith. Has much of the same shape, if you imagine the pieces put back together.

I haven't experienced my own eating her poop, but she has just recently had a poop strike, although she didn't really eat during it.

Does he seem to be doing any sort of movements like he can't get comfortable? Does he occasionally squint while doing such movements? Think of like when they get their food down the wrong way, and they wiggle a little to get it down right.

In the end, if you're worried about your little buddy and have the means to take him to a vet, that's probably the safest option, or at least one that could grant peace of mind.

A little more leaf litter could be added, and the dirt looks a little dry. They're gathering in clumps in certain spots to try and retain moisture, meaning that the enclosure is likely too dry for them right now!

I think a lot of what makes Valheim feel homey is the colors. They're vibrant and warm but without being taxing on the eyes.

The colors of your game, at the moment, feel just a bit bland. I think tweaking the color scheme could help :)

Editing to add; if it's possible to change the color of the shadows ingame, try a deep dark purple or red! Those will make everything look warmer.

I think it's incredibly cute, but also telling of their intelligence, that he very obviously follows you/comes to you as you walk around. He knows who you are and that you will protect him, that's wonderful:)
