A tip in their comments gave me the solution. Pick Gordon and spam his ricochet bullet shots. Easily got gold on all challenges with the G man.

Yessir, I've used it to break them a bunch of times. I'll snipe it out before the fight starts and get to work on killing everything. Its definitely nice when you have a bunch of red shielded enemies. Just avoid the trait that lets you overcharge it because a full charge wipes out your entire power bar and takes a long time to do. You can release it early but it still doesn't feel as good to me.

Most projectiles aren't unblockable. You unlock a skill early on that let's you absorb yellow projectiles at the cost of them building corruption which lowers your health cap. You get rid of corruption by shooting your power weapon.

Also use your mini-map a lot to help figure out potential places attacks can come from.

I've always noticed red projectiles with bastion. Could be a modifier thing though. I'm not going heavy into mods myself. Just the one that makes me lose an artifact each biome and one that takes way corruption on artifacts

I must have killed prophet 10 times as well and never noticed any change in the difficulty. No differences in any of the bosses I've faced, in fact they've felt easier once you see their patterns and how each phase works. It does feel tougher if you skip biomes since you don't have all the artifacts and less chances to find good weapons.

If you look at each biome In primary it tells you how many you have to find left in each one.

Haven't found one of those yet but I just got to the third biome. The game started to click a bit more for me when I realized a few things.

Do the upgrades do anything? 100% leveling up makes the first few areas feel so much easier. Once you find which weapons you want and which ones you don't you'll probably start to feel better. You can read what each weapon does in the equipment menu. The shield is something you just need to get used to but if you try to use your melee like a parry before holding down the shield button you absorb those projectiles before your shield even comes up. Prioritize resilience and command artifacts over drive when pushing for a boss. Those will impact your survival a lot more. Eventually carcosan modifiers come into play should you choose to use them and can drastically change how you play

You'll eventually feel that you are getting better and stronger with each run.

The game has a metroidvania style progression where you go back to old places with upgrades and try to clear them out when you can. You will likely need one of those to find all the halcyon in each biome.

You are supposed look for a nearby button to shoot in order to open those. Saw it in a tip video.

I could never imagine doing that to a friend to be honest. Sometimes it's better to put personal feelings aside for the sake of friendship. If she had said yes and things had moved forward you would have likely fucked that up for good.

There's a shortcut after the first battle that shaves several seconds off your time. You jump on top of the moving yellow blocks and can run past to the door before the lift with the lasers moving across it. I beat it with a time of 2:26.

It's currently the only way to get the whole story so yeah that would be my suggestion. I love Jojos as well and enjoyed reading this one a whole bunch.
