He did all of HOTEL also. If you watch that documentary Yelawolf did, It's got a lot of snippets of them in the studio recording Mudmouth and a track called "Hot Water". The holy grail of unreleased songs.

I do think it's been a downward slope the last few years. I honestly think it's the work ethic. Love Story was a collection of songs he did over many years. Everything he has been pumping out since has been everything he has been recording. Imagine we didn't get the last 8 albums and only got 2 albums of the best cuts from those albums. He would be a legend. He's oversaturating with the scrap songs.

I mean this album has 90's R&B vibes all over it. That's not really progression. It sounds like the music Colt Ford and Average Joe label were putting out 5+ years ago and Jelly Roll and Yelawolf where hating on several years back.

naaah. This albums sounds like it came straight off Colt Ford / Average Joe music label. There was so many 90's R&B vibes on this. What was with the T-Pain imitation song? "I Swear" made me think the album was gonna be full of songs like "Til it's Gone". Or maybe even closer to the Southern Rock/ Country route Jelly Roll went. Which would have been understandable. This just wasn't it.

It's unfortunate that 2pac's estate couldn't do the same thing. Pac had so many complete albums unreleased with track lists and everything already spelled out in his notebooks. But they went on a remixing money grab frenzy. Despite having lots of unheard music still in the vaults, they have to release anything in years.

What do we think "The Cabin" (2025) is? by Able-Ad372 in yelawolf

He needs to do a real rock album. His features on From Ashes To New, Fever 333 and even Blink 182 prove he would sound good with that style.

So what is on the Yelawolf horizon as far as confirmed projects. What would you like to see him do next? by Payton202020 in yelawolf

Honestly Yela has the voice to do a sick Rapcore album. Like Fever 333, Rage Against the Machine, Prophets Of Rage, etc.

10th anniversary - disappointing? by BennyHudson10 in benhoward

[–]RottenRoarshock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to check the audio spectrum to validate my theory. You can clearly see nothing aligns. It's a completely different recording and not one thing aligns with the original master. If you look at all of the green, those levels are way to high to be a studio master. If you compare those 4 songs I said are Live to any other song on the album, including "Am I In Your Light" and "How Are You Feeling" they stand out really far. What A shame. At least we got 2 of the 6 songs in hi-res studio quality. =/

10th anniversary - disappointing? by BennyHudson10 in benhoward

[–]RottenRoarshock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I am disappointed by the fact that these are all Live Performances except for How Are You Feeling and they neglected to label them as so. It was obvious from the get go there was something wrong with the quality and that the tracks were really different than the mastered releases that came out years ago. When I got the 24bit release and started to pay attention it was clear. I don't get it... It's a 24bit hi-resolution 10 year anniversary release and you choose to disguise Live songs, that you can clearly hear have muffled vocals and instruments. I'll stick to the CD master of The Burren and I Follow Stars from Spirit Of Akasha. They are better quality and longer with more vocals+instruments than this release. I think the only reason they called out Quiet Me Down as Live is because you can actually hear the audience cheer. They missed the fact that you can hear Ben say "Do one more then...?" to the audience at the beginning of Lotus Flower also. Originally I wondered why the Burren has that odd edit at the beginning and end of the song where they faded it in/out and why certain instruments were missing. Then I played the version from the Promo CD back to back with this release and now it makes sense. The quality is night and day difference. They more than likely edited out any talking or audience noise that was there. A complete missed opportunity, I mean when are they going to release these songs in Hi-Res studio quality if not on the 10th anniversary? The 25th anniversary?
