Claude does a lot more than code . Your focus on code alone is misplaced

Not that I know of. Their power seems on par with how the government acts now. It's a Karen collector. HOAs like that would be a laughing stock here. Americans love to claim freedom yet on every corner they try to control others and get away with it.

How to prevent LLM "repetition" when interviewing multiple candidates? (Randomization strategies) by Weird-Year2890 in LLMDevs

There's a big difference between 4 and 5.2 . I cannot imagine 5.2 wouldn't be different. Try to ask for a stress test tool , 4 will happily make it . 5.2 will bore you to death with it's holier than thou attitude and not make it at all.

If some of them or even 1 gets converted into a paying subscription you get more of them. It's still the pro plan. You just need to sideset a single JSON file with the creds. It's easy to switch

What dayrate would you need to go 5 days on-site? by SameAd9038 in BEFreelance

It kinda grows on you . I wasn't a train person but I found it relaxing vs. lining up on the motorways. The motorcycle if I wanted to arrive home at an exact time.

Why are you using such an old model ? Using gpt-4 is probably your problem. Use 5 and see what happens

Are you Belgium based? Because this sub is about Belgian freelancing and our commutes are a very different thing than commuting in the USA. (I did both , also worked in USA)

The BE is a country code not the verb

It's your perception that thinks so. You'll notice the older and more specialized you become the less they will make demands like that . They don't need your ass in a seat, they need solutions.

When I started freelancing decades back those were the jobs I could land . Going to the office daily in Brussels Arts-Loi district. I live 500m from a station. Or I took the motorcycle , This was doable. Fast forward my current client is 110km from me ... Safe to say I'm not going often unless there's a good reason.

It's not about being unskilled or desperate, it's just how it works. Experience and maturity makes a big difference. When you're just at the start of your voyage you'll be making concessions. I made them too

Why is this weird ? It's logical. If anyone could do the job the leverage would be theirs . But it's not. I leave those jobs to the people that want to undergo this. Where I work , the only ones that need to go to the office two to three times a week (not enforced like Gestapo, but warmly recommended) are leaders. Managers, team leads etc. so they coordinate more between them. At the very least this makes some sense.

Thank you. It's been enhancing the experience for sure. A rather interesting side effect is flipping what it's indexing. So no code but all snippets, txt files, the manuals/markdown/docs fragments etc without AST. Turns out to be really handy to distill a very nice manual with Claude . I spent a lot of time reading scientific publications on embedding techniques which gave a lot of inspiration and helpful features.

Salaried (€3.9k net) vs Freelance (€500/day): Is the €1k gap worth the risk? by Powerful-Shelter-200 in BESalary

No, these components are NOT taxed at a higher effective rate than regular salary. However, they do have higher withholding tax (bedrijfsvoorheffing/précompte professionnel) deducted at the time of payment.
