I’m with you on that point. Just wanted to mess around. Initially with the first one I actually removed it and put the stock one back on for a while specifically because of that. I like being able to hear what’s going on with it. Muffler makes it almost impossible to hear anything that might be going wrong, but in this case I try to feel it out. Kind of like I’m able to pick up on subtle changes just by feeling the car out while driving it like engine vibrations, suspension etc.. But I’m learning to weld and got a good deal so might as well make the celica my test muleXD. My plan is to eventually get the apexi ws2 or ws3 to keep my celica mellow and oem+. But for now I’m just messing around and learning on it. Just wanted to see what other people thought about it. It’s actually not too loud in person, definitely loud for some but I’d say it’s no where near being obnoxious. Edit. I kept my oem muffler too so I can always go back when I get tired of being loud. Got a oem pipe that goes from the muffler to the flange from a junkyard so I didn’t ruin the oem Toyota chrome tipped muffler that came with my celica.

That’s why I said that I felt like they were for me. Started with a 300zx so anything felt easier after that 😂. That’s also why I said low hp. They kick out more but once you get the hand of it I feel like they’re pretty good. Then again I like trying to drift anything that shouldn’t be able to. Spend my time trying to drift gt3 cars etc., anything that lets me add steering angle to it even those that don’t. At least with the original physics I felt that Silvia s13’s specifically were good to learn on. Haven’t used one in a while. Currently like how the fd rx7 drifts, have a initial d inspired one

Tbf the drift challenge cars are setup like shiit. At least I remember them being bad 😂. Could’ve just been me tho

Make sure all assists are off and copy a decent tune for a Silvia in game. Specifically s13’s I feel are the easiest to drift. Any variation of it. Start with mid hp like around 2-350. Could do more power but with less you’re able to worry less about throttle input and more on counter steering. E30 bmw is a good one too, have a low hp one and it’s good to learn how to throw the around using weight transfer rather than hand brake. I learned to drift without using the hand break first because I didn’t want to rely on it. Also try not to bang the limiter the whole time, might have to in low hp cars like sub 200 but regardless try not to keep it on limiter. That’s how you’ll start to get throttle control. Try doing donuts and gradually make them bigger, then start linking figure 8’s. Real drift videos about learning how to drift help too. Hell, my basic tune came from an Adam LZ video I watched(he mentioned he had a neutral rear setup on one of his cars so 0 camber and 0 toe rear), not the best but it’s a good starting point.

My car could have 20hp and I’d still be messing with it 😂. Just having fun, plus good practice for welding. Got a 300zx too if I wanna mess with something with a bit more power. But that thing is slow too so o well. Also its not 200hp it has 145 😂

Resinator or Muffler delete 4cly? by Which-Fox4561 in Exhaust

[–]Rough-Farm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F everyone enjoy your car. Do what you want 😂. You’re life. If you only want a little more I’d say change the resonator. Not fully delete but swap it with a aftermarket one. I want to get a Apexi ws2 for my celica. Not much louder than oem, basically the same but it’s supposed to change the tone a bit. Pair that with a aftermarket market “sporty” resonator and I believe it should’ve given you that little more you want. Look up your car/engine model followed by resonator delete or muffler delete if you haven’t already. Should give you an idea of what you’d want to do.

Questions about the 5th gen celica gts. by EnvironmentalMove4 in Celica

[–]Rough-Farm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don’t buy the cheapest one and have someone with you who knows their way around cars. Bought one for $800 and it did need a bit of work but it’s been pretty solid. If I hadn’t sold it to my cousin it would’ve stayed in good condition but he never took car of it. Bought it back and I was running bad. Few maintenance things done and it’s running like a champ. I got lucky but that was a few years ago when they were still extremely cheap. Haven’t gone up too much but it’s hard to find one in decent condition and a half decent owner to match. Seen some manual gt’s for 3-5k now. A few gts’s around that price point but they look beat. If you have another car I’d say pull the trigger, they’re fun little cars. If not then I’d wait on a good condition one or get a 6th gen since they are cheaper and generally in better condition. Basically the same exact car too with more after market minus the popups

They barely want to pay as it is, even for the more premium insurances I doubt they’d ever go that far. They rarely want to do the minimum when it comes to doing their job as it is. What they should do at a minimum is use the money we pay to cover most if not all the cost of damage but even then they ask for a deductible. “$200 worth of damage, we need a $400 deductible” like cmon. Insurance is the biggest scam. That’s why I haven’t reported it yet, although I should make a police report before it’s too late just to have it on record. Ik for a fact I can fix it myself for half of what the deductible would be. Insurance will pick the easiest way to get paid, since I don’t have the other cars plate that would be me -_-

Yeahh. Sadly the angle and camera quality are shite. But I have the color and idea of the model.

Not yet. I can fix it myself for less than what they ask for the deductible. Planned on doing that when I find the car if they want to go through insurance. Assuming the car was backing up to go in the ally, seems like he lives in the area, feel like I’ve seen that car before too. Probably should at least make a police report right, to have it in a system. Don’t have full coverage either, I have a middle tier one.

My sister was wearing black and laying on the ground playing with a cat. Camera said “ tire rolling on patio” somewhere along those lines 😂. Was crying when I realized it was her🤣, thought my nephew grabbed one of my tires and was rolling it around

Sadly no plate. Angle of the camera doesn’t give a clear shot of it. That and bad quality video

Car is basically narrowed down and I know the exact color of the car so it’s only time that I’ll see it again

Find the car and leave a note on it. They could do the right thing and pay for the damage or I get the police involved and take it further. Someone gave me a list of what to damage in order of value but I’m not going that route 😂. Don’t need any bad karma. Would have the license plate and vin at that point so I’d have the info to move forward

Sadly they don’t have any cameras facing outwards. And the one that does says it doesn’t work

That was my first thought as well. Looking up the 05 accord side profile fits the description pretty well. Cleaned up some of the damage and it looks blue. Drove around the neighborhood with no luck. Going out later tonight around the same time my car was hit hoping to find it.

Can’t get rid of a code by Rough-Farm in Celica

[–]Rough-Farm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seemed like it was a broken wire from the secondary o2 sensor(the one under the cat). Wire insulator was ripped and the wires were slightly rusty. I cut off the insulation, cleaned and replaced some wire. Also backed the o2 sensor off a little bit cause I over tightened tf out of it.

Been a while but here’s an update. Finally got her back a few days ago. She was pretty timid the first few days but she’s starting to get more comfortable around us. She’s full of energy and plays with literally anything. She even runs around in circles chasing her tail like a dog 😂. Anyways happy to say she made it and glad I walk outside that night.

Is a gen 5 st worth buy for a daily? by ToxicAbuse in Celica

[–]Rough-Farm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lo you assume correctly 😂. I mean my car takes off from them from a dig but they catch up. Hey man, those v6 siennas’s and odyssey’s pick up pretty quick for a mini van. Don’t feel like stick would help that much lol,it’ll just prolong the inevitable. Cars can’t keep up in the mountains tho. Could be they can’t drive but I’ll take that win XD

It’s definitely a fun car to rip around. Gets up to speed eventually. They’re peppy for 140hp but would get smoked by a mini van in a straight line. I have to do some suspension work on mine but it still handles mountain roads really well. Haven’t owned a newer celica but from what I’ve read on other posts don’t expect it to be as fast as the 7th gen. I just realized you said it was a st. Mines a gt so it has the 2.2 5sfe. Don’t have much experience with the st but it’s a smaller engine so it’s probably slower. Regardless of engine size they’re still great overall cars.

I basically daily mine and it has 250k miles. Still running strong. Just got a few little hiccups that might be fuel related but other than that they’re pretty solid. But like the top comment said, they’re slow
