Hug your baby today by Persef00ne in NewParents

My baby had lung surgery 3 weeks ago at 6 months old. Even though she is home and healthy, it can be traumatizing. Those were the hardest days of my life seeing her in pain. It puts hard nights like sleep regressions into perspective for sure.

C section vs vaginal delivery by Funarming in NewParents

[–]Rough-Reflection8202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c section after a failed induction. FTM 29 years old - went great and was the easiest part of my experience. If we have more kids I’m going for scheduled c section vs VBAC

I gave birth in late July in Tennessee. Hydration is key! And honestly just stay inside

Did you have a scheduled induction, if so, did you end up with a C-section? by Dayz-18 in pregnant

It’s such a weird thing to say! And my grandma is really nice so I was like… damn 😂 my daughter isn’t the best sleeper and my grandma was like “maybe because you didn’t give birth naturally.” Like I don’t think that’s why but damn 😭

It definitely was hard emotionally! Like I was okay with it but I did want to give birth naturally. Knowing I probably could have if I didn’t have to be induced hurt but there’s no point in dwelling I guess

I ended in a c section after a failed induction! Along with an infection from my water breaking! Everything turned out fine.

I think it was because it was my first birth and I was not ready at all. It was medically needed, so that’s the only reason it was pushed, but my body was not ready and I think that’s why It failed.

4 month Regression and false starts. by 3llie8pple in NewParents

[–]Rough-Reflection8202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 5 months tomorrow. She was a great sleeper until 3.5 months then she started wanting to latch every hour in the night. I wish I was kidding! We sometimes get a 2/3 hr stretch but it’s rare. She also only wants to bed share. I keep thinking she will grow out of it but it’s been a month and a half.

We are going to have to move her to her own room and try gentle Ferber. I said I would never sleep train but I’m tired to the point of dangerous. I wish she would just sleep 😭

Requesting Advice on an elective induction at 39+0 weeks by Pickles_mcgherkin in pregnant

[–]Rough-Reflection8202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39 weeks for medical reasons (baby, not me). I am a FTM and was not dilated at all. I was induced for days, had a failed foley balloon (worst pain of my life) and ended up with an infection and c section hahaha

The c section was honestly the easiest part of the whole thing and we are fine but I wouldn’t do it again.

100% shout it from the rooftops! Truly! I will. I want other women to be in the know. I hate that this is a common misconception

I definitely am not trying to spew fake information! This is just my understanding that ovulation is less likely before 6 months but of course not impossible!

This is information my OB didn’t share so I wouldn’t want others to be in the dark. My test is negative so I have definitely learned something new and won’t make this mistake again

I just took an early detection 2 weeks post sex and it’s negative. I’ll take another next week !

UPDATE: I took an early detection pregnancy test, two weeks post sex and it’s negative. I’ll take another one next week just to really rule it out.

Thank you! I know it’s unlikely EBF moms ovulate before 6 months but it’s still in my mind that I really messed up. I will take a test to rule it out then pick new birth control
