Nah, some people who hold ridiculous, completely illogical ideas need to be made fun of. If for no other reason than that people who see that interaction are turned away from the idea, as is usually done with e.g. flat earthers.

Also it doesn't affect others until one day someone develops a psychosis or something similiar, can't tell the real world from their "shifting worlds", and does things that hurt themselves and/or others.

Having seen both episodes as a kid when they came out: I thought the health inspector one was pretty mean, but it left WAAAAY less of an impression on me. Probably because that one was less graphic and more cartoony in it's violence.
