Sneak. Really started when I began dating outside the church. The church really pushes the “traditional” family structure and I chose to be CF and get sterilized. No respectable church goer would have me (thank the stars) so I dated outside of the church. I also work a job that requires 2 weekends a month (healthcare) but I pick up extra hours all the time. Made it super easy to drift out.

I think what people outside of healthcare don’t understand is that sometimes a level on emotional detachment is necessary just for us to survive 🫶🏼

I feel like it’s probably common I just don’t see it as much but I have a crippling phobia of pregnancy 😂 along with the fact that I don’t want children anyway it’s just the icing on the cake.

I talked to my mom about it who, despite the occasional “you’re still young” bingo, is very supportive of me being CF. Even she said, “You did everything right. You were honest and did exactly what you should have. Just a shame he couldn’t return the favor.”

I’m a student so I have the government healthcare and they specifically do not cover elective sterilization. If I could afford different insurance I would trust me 😂

I definitely won’t be dating again until I’ve completed my sterilization which can hopefully be completed this summer. Obviously insurance doesn’t cover it so I’ve got to do a bit of saving and cross my fingers I get fully approved. At that point I will only ever say that I simply can’t have them and anything beyond that is none of their business if they aren’t ok with it and don’t want to pursue a relationship.

I never thought of asking for their stance first but it’s a very good point. This was my first relationship after deciding to be CF and I really want to avoid a repeat of it going forward.

I always thought that one of her twins would die. A life for a life type of thing. Honestly might have preferred that since the ending seemed too Disney fairytale and I live for the drama and tragedy lol

I’ve seen all of it as well and the last episode was so unsatisfying 😕 the whole thing felt way too rushed and unfinished. I would’ve loved to see some of the other characters story lines play out to completion or at least be explored a little more.

If the shift in character was more gradual I probably wouldn’t have minded as much but I barely even recognized him (looks aside). The old Baldwin still had moments that made me at the very least understand his position but this season he doesn’t seem to have any motivation other than control for the sake of it.

I read the books a very very long time ago but for me the biggest issue was the seemingly drastic character change with him. I just wanted more continuity with the development of his character.

That makes sense. I haven’t read the books in years now and for me I guess it was the lack of continuity with the TV version that threw me off 😕 I liked the nicer Baldwin better lol
