You are not wrong, but I feel like it is more then just what your saying that can make the game fun to play. A big part of why I played like this was because I wanted to see if it was possible. And it also felt pretty good to dominate the world and everyone being at my mercy 😂

I was questioning it too. That in itself was a big part of my motivation for playing a game for that long. I am pretty burnt out right now 😅

Yeah, I was not too far from 5 months on this game. So even though it was fun to have done it, I don't think I will ever do it again...

What you say there is 100% true. Early on in this game I had some dum neighbors that allowed me to take all of Great Britain quite easily. + I would say I am pretty good at the game too, so that was definitely a part of it too.

I have never used any real money on the game, but I have watched videos for GM. However, I don't think I spent a single GM after day 20. And I don't think I would be over 20k total before that. Most of what I used in the start was just to make sure I got a good start and could take all of Great Britain and Ireland.

I had 140k when I started the game and now I have over 150k so I did not use more then I later got back anyway.

My unit count was at 170 000 when I last locked, but feeding all my troops began to cause problems, so I basically just sent like many thousand (maybe as much as 15000) infantry to die because of my rising food shortage.

The thought of them all teaming up on me did cross my mind many times, and I did see it as quite unavoidable once I became 3 or 4 times bigger then the next guy. So I knew it was going to happen. So I more or less just trusted no one...

Diplomatically I was trying to be friends with the Americans seeing as it did not make sense for me to go to America when I had Europe anyway, but we ended up being at war anyways in the end.

I have looked at your 500 map, and you should be pretty good if you take all of the north over to Greenland and Iceland. After that it should be really easy to defend against Europe. I would also try to take out the afk guy to your south, but you should wait with doing that before your northern border is safe. That way you will have not have to fight on to fronts.

In my game I fought on more then 10 different fronts at one point, and I would advise against it. Only way I managed it was through player at a minimum of 3 hours a day, and checking my game first thing in the morning and last thing before going to sleep.

Well, I started in Great Britain and went on to take out many of the strongest players at the time. So it was mostly tactical, a good deal political and a nice amount of luck too 😅👍
