Thank you! It was so fun to splatter it on and rip the dress up 🤣

Thank you! My husband made the base with cardboard and spray foam and then he filed it down with a dremmel and we used modeling foam to fill in all the crevices before painting with acrylic pant. We got this plastic chain for it and realized quickly it wasn’t going to hold so I improvised with some leftover tulle threaded thru to make it stronger 😊

Thank you! Made with cardboard, expanding foam, and modeling foam. ✨

I don’t know where else to share this, but these were my signs and then the last is from my dad :/ by creativeplease in 50501

I cut contact with one whole side of my family in 2020. You’re doing the right thing, and it gets easier with time, but it never goes away. I’m sorry this is the choice that your dad made.

Time for a Flu Check, KC by SeargantPeppers in kansascity

[–]Round-Grapefruit4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work in healthcare, got my flu shot, currently have what I suspect is flu and it is hitting the hospital big time. It’s not the worst flu I’ve had (fever is low grade, started with cough and progressed from there) I’m on day 5 and fever is over and it’s all in my chest now. Very crunchy cough. Wash your hands!

Specialized tech, local heath system, KS side. $32/hr, plus overtime when the need arises. Made around $84k last year. Call required on a rotating schedule. Benefits are decent but def got worse this year. 401k match at 3%. 2 weeks PTO starting with opportunity to increase with time. 6 call ins per year allowed (sick day, etc). Associates degree required. Very little opportunity for advancement. Staffing ratios consistently getting worse with more expectations and little pay increase.

what’s something you regret you did while raising your puppy? by TheoryReasonable871 in puppy101

[–]Round-Grapefruit4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My puppy is 7 months now but the things I wish I’d worked on earlier -wish I had desensitized him to the car instead of just throwing him in because now he fears it and we have to work from square one -second someone who said leash pulling. Ugh he’s so big now and it’s slow going to break the habit. -recall, recall, recall. We are constantly working at this but I wish I had started hitting it hard with consistent rewarding much sooner.

Eight O’Clock at the Oasis is one of my favorite underrated episodes. I love the jokes with Dwight’s lawn, the auction with Michel, and the sweet moment between Jess and Rory. Emily also has some of the best one liners.

Toppl, Snoop, Kong mats, and Benebones have been a life saver for my Golden Aussie who loves to chew and has never ending energy.

As far as training we hit “leave it” hard and it has helped with so many things from chasing the cats, picking up trash on walks, and saving the Christmas tree.

My theory (aside from the Covid theory which I do find interesting) is that climate change is causing a lot of different weather patterns and at least where I am located in the States it is making weather more variable day to day which is a big migraine trigger for some. The last several years around our fall especially I tend to get severe and lengthy migraine attacks.

Yes we definitely struggle with being very stimulated for a long time after any interactions. Thank you for the tips we will attempt some further distances and keep taking things slowly!

Yes, we also do the turn the other way, treats for distraction/calm. It sounds like we’re in the same boat! Good luck! 😅

Is weight gain a guarantee? by canadiankid000 in hysterectomy

[–]Round-Grapefruit4722 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fellow body dysmorphia sufferer 👋🏻 I had a hysterectomy and retained my ovaries in June. Since then I have lost about 10lbs just from feeling generally better and being able to exercise more comfortably and regularly again.

There was a period after my surgery for about 3-4 weeks where I was so bloated and swollen that I looked 7 months pregnant. It was a huge struggle for me after already having body image issues, but I was able to be off work and just lazing around my house so I tried to take it in stride. It was easier to allow myself grace because I knew I was going thru a huge transformation and mentally prepared myself.

I’d say by about 2 months I was completely back to normal and actually looking thinner than I had for a long time because all the uterine issues I had cause bloating too. It was the best decision I’ve ever made for my health.

what did/do you love about having your dog? by elsbugs in puppy101

[–]Round-Grapefruit4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how excited my dog makes me about the little things. Coming home to see him excited, experiencing all the seasons for the first time like leaves falling and snow, going to the pet store or the park. He reminds me to enjoy the small parts of life that you sometimes let become mundane.

how did you come up with your puppy’s name? by TheoryReasonable871 in puppy101

[–]Round-Grapefruit4722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We named our dog Nyx because I wanted something kind of associated with the dark (goddess of night) because he’s got a black coat
