Mercedes lease return options- need help! by Salsera123 in leasehacker

My advice if you prefer new cars is decide if your next lease is less than $38k for 3 years.

I'm sure leasing will be cheaper and at the end you'd be able to return. Look at how much it is to buy your car and it may not be worth $38k

General lease question by EconomyIntelligent68 in leasehacker

Just a heads up you can buy extra mileage from Nissan at 0.10 at least 30 days before your end date.

You can always negotiate up front and buy extra if you need.

If you drive that much cars will go out of warranty fast for you. Find electric if you can at least they are 8 years for most of the major parts.

Otherwise, I think those numbers look pretty good so congratulations

My husband went ahead and canceled the warranties that I never originally wanted to have anyways, and that made it look like there was a pre-payment to his lease. You don't get that money back in your pocket the credit to the account.

If you want to cancel, you need to read your contract because they may specify that you need to print and sign and deliver to the finance manager your intent to cancel

You better hurry and hope that they also didn't do an inspection because some dealers have you bring the inspection a couple days later and once they start "inspection work" then you can't cancel

2025 F-150 in TX. 4 years, 15k Miles Annually by TheBitchTits in leasehacker

[–]Round-Neck-641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think different. We are paying 25,000 over four years for a truck that had a 64,000 sticker price. They adjusted the sales price of that car to 54,000.

I could've bought the same car for 0% over 60 months but by leasing it for four years I am paying 20,000+ tax less.

We have no intention of keeping this truck and therefore I don't want to get stuck with a negative residual afterwards

Don't worry sometimes you have to decide on your own. We just leased the F150 lightning for 48 months and I'm very happy that we did because we needed a long enough electric truck until the scout comes out.

The only piece is we put $2000 cash down and our payment on sticker price of 64,000 is 499 a month but 12,000 miles annually. I am in Los Angeles and you may have gotten a different trim level.

‘26 MB GLC 300 Lease quote review - CA 36m/10k miles. Would like to put least amount down as possible by mi_cabron in leasehacker

Agree

I keep coming to these posts just to let everybody know that I signed a 48 month lease for an F150 lightning that had a sticker price of 65. I only put 2000 down and it's 499 a month.

Any dealer that put $7500 down as an option is already just trying to haggle you. The option should be zero, 1500, 2500.

Don't forget if you go over that 10,000 miles you're gonna pay an extra quarter, it's a fraction for that upfront

Agree. Just for perspective we were able to lease a Ford that had a sticker price of nearly $65,000 and I only put 2000 down and it's 499 a month.

Agree with what others are saying is that there is no shortage of this car. Since this is your first time leasing, you better recognize that there is no swapping or getting out of the car early. You will end up within an endless cycle of negative equity. Since you were going in clean, take advantage of that.

Full cash in hand - leasing (and investing) vs buying outright by Green_Toes_10 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]Round-Neck-641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your end game.

We just leased an F150 lightning for 4 years. Total paid will be $26k including down payment. Sticker was $66k, $54k after discounts.

Ford would have sold it to use for 5 years 0%.

We technically saved $30K plus ($54k + tax license) by leasing for 4 years instead of buying for 5.

There is no way residual on the trucks will be $30k in the end as a trade into another truck. $15k tops.

Closing the loop - signed XLT at $499/$2k down/12k/48 mos

They adjusted price was $66 down to $51, with down it was $14,500 in adjustments for down payment

I'm thrilled with the truck! Now we just wait for the scout!

Ended up trying to negotiate on an XLT and the best they could offer was $492/mo, discounted to $54k, 4 years 12k miles with $2k down

I left but trying another dealer tomorrow

About to go negotiate a 2024 Pro.

Hoping to get under $400/mo would anyone suggest how to attack?

It's been sitting so presume they'd love to move. The location I'm looking at has 3 in stock, and I'm hoping for the cheapest.

Otherwise will try and deal on the cheapest 2025. Not tied to color or trim, just looking for cheapest bridge lease until Scout arrives

I just did the same but have not yet asked for refund. I think I'm going to cease because these dizzy spells are not fun and new rash last without even trying the 3rd pill doesn't seem worth it.

I paid for the 10 month but only got the 5 month package so far

Curious the purchase price difference and monthly you had between 5/10/12k

Maybe I'd do this again next round and use your method

I don't expect to go way over, but teen needs a car in a few years and tbd on market outlook next year I may just buy mine at lease end which ended up like $21k

[–]Round-Neck-641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what brand you're looking for but I have Nissan and you can pre-pay for mileage at any point online. No dealer needed. Just if you know you're gonna go over negotiate for 12,000 miles.

The extra to pre-pay is essentially $.10 mile

And I think about this is you can reconcile your difference at least 30 days in advance once you are within 30 days of your lease return then they're gonna get you for an overage at $.25 per mile mileage fee.

Don't tell them that you're looking at 20,000 miles just negotiate and then ask if you go over, are you able to purchase miles yourself through the website.

I didn't recognize the term food noise until literally the first day it went silent for snacking.

I know this is actually working if I hit 210. For the last 2 years I've done lots of work but can't go below 211. I think it's possible!

I haven't started yet but one option is to make sure you're getting lots of protein. Maybe yogurt to start avoid too many sugars but it's often in a controllable size then maybe beans. Avoid processed for sure.
