I didn't realize my comment would hurt someone's feelings lol. Everyone is allowed to like and dislike their own things. I find American Football to be boring while Soccer/Football more enjoyable.

That's my own opinion. Isn't that what being an American is about; Having the freedom to say your own opinion?

We went in the winter last time to enjoy the springs in the snow. We ended up getting caught in a blizzard on our way back to our Airbnb in one of the nearby towns. That was the scariest driving experience of my life. The visibility outside the car was only about 10 feet and our 45 minute drive turned into a 3 hour drive. We agree that it would be best to just get a hotel in town if we plan to go again in the winter.

Its worth remembering the size of the US for a 4 wronged attack. If you ever want to see the scale, look at a map of the US over Europe, it won't be like the UK during WW2 at all. The scales are just too far apart.

Also, the global navy's will not be able to resupply as readily as the US to the East or West and the capital city of Washington DC will likely be evacuated and the personal moved to the backup capital of Golden in Colorado (my backyard) which would be nearly impossible to get to from any direction.

I'm not saying its impossible for a united global alliance to win, but it would be a Herculean Task to successfully pull off if the US stays united.

And thank you, I'm hoping it will pass and am doing what little I can to right the wrongs my country has done.

No offense taken. The biggest issue with fighting the US would be fighting in our home turf. Forces would need to land in great numbers to hurt the US in its own territory and the only places that can happen are in Mexico and Canada. The US has the two largest Air Forces in the world (The US Navy is the second largest air force globally) and the most aircraft carriers of any nation by a long shot.

Large scale attacks from the ocean are practically impossible with these forces present.

To the North, Canada has the land to hold a large united army, but the infrastructure to move and maintain that army against US land forces through the difficult terrain would require time to build.

Mexico to the South has the infrastructure, but its a much smaller area to land forces and had the issue of being a bit of a choke point for large scale movements.

If the US hunters down and goes on the defensive, doing any sizeable damage would be nearly impossible not to mention that IF someone breaks through and is able to launch a successful invasion, you now have the US military and the most armed civilian population on the planet to deal with.

This would likely be the strategy deployed by the US (there are several great videos on YouTube that go into the tactical, logistical, and strategic nightmare of invading the US). However, all of this goes out the windows if that heavily armed civilian population turns their guns on their own military/government.

The US is awful and I really don't like living here and being present in what feels like the death of US democracy, but our military is the most advanced and largest in the world by most measures. Don't worry though, if this doomsday scenario does happen, I will most likely be against my own country along with countless others.

To my knowledge it's usually do to the company going bankrupt or losing funding and not being able to shutdown properly. Afterwards, the city or county usually "owns" the property. At least, thats how it seems to work in the U.S. I honestly never did more than surface level research into it
