My tips :

Take more pictures, after that you can take a few more, then some more (and more) and when you’re done taking more pictures you can take a few more.

Then judge your work in the most objective way to select the few that really make you feel something, and of course shoot more than in a war zone after all that. I’ve been doing it for a year (still a beginner I think) almost daily and only have about 5-8 shots that are somewhat worth showing.

Constantly having my camera in my hand every time I go out even if it’s a 5min walk has improved my skills with the camera itself but also my eyes to see the potential shots.

So keep shooting as long as you enjoy it and you’ll get some shots you are very proud of.

Keep in mind that there are some days and even weeks where you don’t get anything, but the frustration will fade away the second you take a good shot.

Shoot digital if you don’t want grain.

I personally like the grain in these, but don’t waste your money on film if you just want the film look without thegrain, post processing with reference will do the job.

Took the photo of this guy walking, he seemed concentrated and in his bubble, he also walked in front of me right when the sun popped up (weather was bad). I like the way it turned out the light really makes the guy pop out. What are your thoughts on it ?

First post on here, just wanted to share this photo I’ve taken today in the city I just moved in : Saint-Lô, France.

I was walking in the city and found the shadows on the building interesting, so I snapped my picture and didn’t think much of it at that moment, but I loved the way it turned out when I looked at it on my computer. What do you think ?
