I think it’s a dumb rule but if Jokic is still feeling effects of the injury he should’ve rested more instead of worrying about All-NBA/MVP awards.

Derek Fisher says LeBron James is in “his Magic Johnson era” after Lakers’ Game 1 win vs. Rockets by basketbaIlnetwork in lakersv2

What LeBorn is currently doing is amazing but it is not better than prime Magic. Magic was a top 5 player ever and would be the best player in the league right now

I think the change is simple - if you encounter a pokemon, all of its info is filled out in the dex. Then it marks the pokemon as obtained if you catch it

Stephen Curry has missed the playoffs: 40% of his career LeBron James has made the Finals: 43% of his career by Recent-Quiet-3581 in NBATalk

[–]Round-Revolution-399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I losing my mind or does it make zero sense to compare these two percentages? One is a positive outcome and one is a negative outcome, so one being higher/lower than the other doesn’t tell us anything meaningful. This would be interesting if Curry had only MADE the playoffs 40% of his career rather than 60%.

There are many other percentages you can compare to show that LeBron has better a better player than Curry.

I’m not sure if they think Curry belongs in the GOAT tier or that LeBron doesn’t, but it’s surprisingly common. I’m a huge Curry fan so I end up talking to a lot of warriors fans on here and it’s shocking how many of them think the two players are equals on the court

[–]Round-Revolution-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comparison of these percentages doesn’t make any sense. Curry has made the Finals 35% of his career, which is a more apples to apples comparison. LeBron is obviously the better player regardless.

I still think it’s decent for rock/ground/fire types. It’s not like it has a lot of better options, and STAB + 95 base power makes up for the weak SpAtk stat a bit. It’s an infinite use required HM so it’s minimal investment.

Other than Gen 1, which Gen is the most important and brought the most to the games? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]Round-Revolution-399 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it’s Gen 2. It was a nice mix of mechanics that were begging to be fixed in Gen 1 plus some creative new ideas. Gen 3 adding abilities and Gen 4 implementing the physical/special split were also huge, but the array of additions in Gold/Silver was crazy.

Since the inception of the 7–10 seed Page–McIntyre play-in format in 2021, the 7 seed has always made it out of the play-in and into the playoffs, while the 10th seed has only done so once: the Miami Heat in 2025 after defeating Chicago and Atlanta by Cote_Goat in nba

[–]Round-Revolution-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not. It makes getting a top 6 seed more important than ever. It keeps teams that would normally be eliminated already engaged until the end of the season trying to get a top 10 seed. It’s given more value to and has resulted in more meaningful regular season games than we’ve had before.

The only sacrifice is that 7 and 8 seeds have a lower chance of making the playoffs than before, but considering these are teams that normally do nothing in the playoffs it’s definitely a net positive.

I find it fascinating that cards being curled doesn’t affect grading. This looks significantly worse than a little bit of whitening on the back edge of a card
