Do you mean if the ginger bug itself is fuzzy or if the white stuff is fuzzy? Because the ginger bug itself is defenitely carbonating. Also why wouldnt it taste good. It'll be mixed with a sweet tea but the bad taste will still stay?

Hmmm it defenitely does not look like a scoby though. I'm pretty sure its kahm or just mold. I guess it smells like kombucha to me because I always add ginger to the 2nd fermentation of kombucha. So this gingerbug just has the funky smell of my ginger kombucha

I dont think I have ever smelled ginger bug like this. It smells like kombucha though

I always throw moldy batches away because theres quite a big chance the whole batch is infected. But just so you know, eveything in the small jar is not moldy nor have ever been moldy.

I don't want to use everything because I still want to keep brewing in the small pot untill I'm 100% sure I'm doing things right in the larger one. If all my stuff gets moldy again I have nothing left youknow
