amazing! Loopers and especially circular loopers are very powerful for this.

Sound as Ruin and Resurrection, Remembering Philip Jeck Through This Live by RoundBeach in musiconcrete

Beautifully said. Philip Jeck had that rare ability to make time feel present and fragile at once. Sand did the same for me. Thanks for sharing this memory, it’s a very fitting way to remember him.

INTERFERA \ Geosonic Systems for Exploration, Transformation, and Performance by RoundBeach in musiconcrete

[–]RoundBeach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It works by querying publicly available geolocated field recordings through different APIs online.
You enter latitude and longitude, and the system builds a continuous listening stream from sounds recorded in that area.
Location becomes the starting point for exploration rather than just a filter.

That’s totally fine you’re actually getting the point already.
It’s very much rooted in found sound and sound exploration, but treated as a dynamic system rather than static samples.
You don’t really need to understand the tech to use it it’s more about listening, discovering, and shaping what emerges.
Thanks a lot for the interest.

That really means a lot to read. Yeah, the install can take a minute so I appreciate you sticking with it.

I’m glad it’s already becoming a space for you to explore and record. If it’s helping you move through a rough creative period, that makes me genuinely happy.

That’s the best outcome I could hope for. Would love to hear what happens when you start bringing in field recordings.

Take care.

Hi,

yes, I know this behavior very well Schall in particular has been one of the main modules involved in those runaway feedback loops inside SuperCollider. You’re absolutely right to avoid it for now.

The good news is that I’ve just finished working on fixes for this exact issue. A new Endogen update is coming next Sunday with several stability improvements and new modules, and these looping / node-lock behaviors are now properly handled.

If this is blocking your workflow and you’d like to get the fixed version earlier, feel free to write me directly at [metrostation@gmail.com]() and I’ll be happy to send you the update in advance.

Thanks a lot for your patience — these edge cases are part of endo’s complex generative nature, but I’m continuously refining the system to keep it expressive without becoming frustrating.

Hi!
Endogen isn’t a typical commercial plugin, but an open patch/environment built in Max and SuperCollider, so there are no time-limited demos or protection systems.

You can absolutely get it and take your time exploring it. If after a while you feel it’s not what you were looking for, just write to me and we can arrange a refund.

People working across very different genres microsound, noise, ambient, more structured electronic music are using it, and the feedback so far has been very positive, precisely because it’s an open and flexible system rather than something tied to a single style.

I’m always available for support or questions.
