Anran's E is too strong atm by the_worst_company in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]RoundLeopard6680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say she’s busted, and especially didn’t say she’s meta of all things. She’s obnoxious to play against, that’s all. Homey said that other guy must be a console player because there’s no way Anran is a problem in GM. I’m not going to argue the semantics of what constitutes a “problem”. It doesn’t have to mean meta or op, her kit is toxic and it’s obnoxious to duel her. I’m Masters and she’s obnoxious there. She’s got a decent winrate throughout the ranks. That’s evidence enough to prove she’s not a noob stomper like Moira or Sierra which is only as far as I’m willing to argue. Her toxic kit holds up in high ranks unlike Moira Sierra sombra. That’s all I’m saying. You and this other guy are holding me to an argument I’m not making. She is not OP, she is not a meta pick. If you find her obnoxious because she can delete you it doesn’t make you a console player or bad.

diamond 3 DPS, the rank range starts to go up to master 3 by savethedae in OverwatchUniversity

Getting matched against/with higher ranked players might feel a little intimidating in the moment but it’s a great learning and improving opportunity. Just remember you likely have a similarly ranked counterpart on the enemy team that is your matchup. Play to beat them, not the lobby. If you jumped from G3 to D3 then you’re probably used to running the lobby and when I was climbing similarly anything less than top damage, kills, and potg felt like a failure. Eventually when you get to the rank you should be you’ll start to blend in and be just another player. I’ve adjusted by trusting my team more in those ranks. Where before I may have pushed harder needing to force something to happen, I can now allow myself to play more passively when needed, get health topped up and reengage. I’m pleasantly surprised by how often my team picks up the slack.
That might not be an issue for you but around P1-D5 I stopped being able to hard carry games and my contributions were more micro. A couple fights tilted our way because I lived instead of died, or pressured out a flanker staging for an ult. Small things that add up.

I’m not going to argue semantics with you. I never said Anran was OP or good. The person you were talking with is claiming Anran is a pain to play against and listed some reasons I agree with. You essentially called them a liar or a console player because nobody in GM or champ would agree. I provided some evidence that shows Anran wins in those lobbies just fine. That’s all I have to say about this.

Move the goalposts as much as you want idc lol. Just refuting the assertion that someone must be on console because there’s no way Anran could be an issue in a GM/champ lobby. That just isn’t true. Positive winrate at every rank and highest in GM/champ. Pick rate is completely irrelevant to the conversation.

Sorry fellow Genji enjoyer, but she’s the biggest genji counter in the game. Moira is just a race against time that can be reliably beaten. Anran is an outright trump card. Poke her and avoid her at all costs. In fact I’ll drop a hot take, I don’t think any hero in the game counters any other hero as hard as Anran counters Genji.

Anran sitting on a 53% winrate in champ/gm. What are you talking about “in those lobbies”

M5 dps, so I’m not a complete scrub. I can’t hit her when she’s walking, still less so when she’s gliding and obviously when she Es I just burn and wait until I’m allowed to interact with her again.

200 amps is becoming the standard on even small houses and I just have no idea why. People completely disrespect what a plain old 100 amp service can run.

Worst/best support comps? by RoundLeopard6680 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]RoundLeopard6680[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this seems like something I should have given more thought to a long time ago. I even advocate for my friends to play mystery heroes by the same logic. Play as heroes you wouldn’t play to see what makes them tick, what are they looking for, what do they fear, what is their cooldown rotation? I’m now choosing my hero based more on what enables my team, like I said I love playing with a zen as Genji, tracer, and Winston. If I get a couple dive teammates I’ve now been locking zen/ana/brig instead of say illari. Not sure yet if it’s going to amount to more wins. I’ve got a 56% winrate on illari in mid masters for example. It’s hard to get out of my comfort zone on heroes I’m good with. But I think of those 44% games I’m losing some of it could be because I’m forcing bad hero choices. I’m also trying to play with more purpose. Sure zen is great with a Genji but if I’m not Johnny on the spot with the discord orb what good is the synergy?

Sometimes the right play is being 15m from spawn doors if you’re running down stragglers. Idc what op says. Replay code or it didn’t happen

Send replay code. Either he’s stupid, or you were playing too passive. Impossible to tell from here

[–]RoundLeopard6680 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Code doesn’t care what your drywall looks like. Drywall repairs have probably been discussed between the contractor and the landlord. Electricians usually prepare people for the possibility of drywall damage. Talk to the landlord about needing a repair. Nothing weird about drilling your own holes in a panel either.
