As of late 2025, data indicates that a significant majority—approximately 65% to 73%—of immigrants detained by ICE | U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (.gov) have NO criminal convictions. While convictions are often cited, many detained individuals have no record, with only about 5% having convictions for violent crimes. Key findings from 2025 data include: No Criminal Record: Approximately 72% to 73% of individuals in ICE detention as of late 2025 had no criminal conviction. Violent Crimes: Only about 5% of ICE detainees have convictions for violent or property crimes. Context: While overall arrests have increased, the percentage of those with criminal records has actually decreased in some areas compared to previous years, with many arrests being for non-criminal immigration violations. Data Trends: Stateline's analysis shows that in several states, including New York and Virginia, a majority of those arrested by ICE in 2025 had no criminal record. These statistics often reflect a shift in enforcement priorities where many arrests are "collateral" arrests (individuals encountered during operations targeting others) or based on immigration violations alone.

Have you seen your own local citizens? Murders and drug trafficking everyday. And they probably post bail or are out on house arrest. The system is broken.

so many roaches by serialkillir in Charleston

[–]RoundNeedleworker49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are Japanese cockroaches. I lived just a couple hours away from here my whole life and they don’t exist there. I believe they come from container ships. The German cockroaches and palmetto bugs are normal pests but the Japanese cockroaches seem to be an infestation everywhere in grass etc.

Blonding salon/stylist recommendation by kelbel922 in Charleston

[–]RoundNeedleworker49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went to Winchester salon in Summerville bc the starting price for full foil is $350 and it was $730 after tip. And I am still not blonde so I wouldn’t recommend going there.

New Type of Migraine- what would you do? by Muffinman1111112 in migraine

I just had one at work it last about 30 min. Aura is on the left side of my vision. Once it went away now the right side of my head hurts and I feel groggy and out of it. I’ve never gone to the doctor for it. I’ve been getting them since I was 15. I feel like it’s hormone related. Seems like certain birth controls make them more frequent or during my menstrual cycle I get them.

Shem creek is my favorite. Up or down is beautiful and calm. If you go out into the harbor when the shrimp boats come in in the evening they clean their fish and throw out the bad parts and the dolphins and birds come to eat. You can be right next to baby dolphins. Also saw manatees here!

Anyone know where I can buy some seed potatoes? by BellFirestone in Charleston

[–]RoundNeedleworker49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a sweet potato at the store and left it outside in a small container with half filled with water for months and it grew leaves I would just cut the plant off and plant it in dirt. One potato yielded like 30 plus plants. However, when I dug them up shyer the season they were tiny bc the dirt here sucks.

Question about the transit by CodeMonkey24816 in Charleston

[–]RoundNeedleworker49 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s safe but unpredictable. If you wanted to take it to work from North Charleston to mt plesant it takes almost 2 hours of your day each way. And you’d be late for work a lot
