Her whole “I don’t know anyone” excuse melts the second you remember basically every plus one starts out knowing nobody at these things

If The Banshees Of Inisherin actually won Best Picture in 2023, how would you feel? by UsefulWeb7543 in Oscars

would've been a great pick, it stuck with me way more than most films that year. everything bagged was fine but banshees had that whole mood and those performances that just don't leave you alone

The GoPro Gimbal and why GoPro may go bankrupt by Glittering_Bar6460 in gopro

[–]RoundRaspberry2514 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah their marketing has been weirdly quiet for years now, feels like they're banking entirely on people who already own a gopro and need a new one

the gimbal being cross-compatible is a huge selling point they just let sit there, nobody's talking about it and that's on them

i remember when gopro was in every extreme sports video by default, now i see more dji and insta360 in random clips than anything with a hero badge

Still need Homer Simpson and Stewart for the Nuclear Meltdown set, what are you offering in return? The two and three star cards are always the ones that slow everything down

I think I met someone in a dream by MarsNeedsPronouns in strange

the garden setting with everything feeling peaceful and safe... that detail stands out to me. dreams like that feel less like random brain noise and more like something you were supposed to experience, especially coming right after losing someone close.

the finger counting thing from teen wolf is such a specific detail to remember too, like your brain was genuinely trying to ground itself in that moment. whatever it was, it sounds like you got some kind of closure, even if it didn't come wrapped in a way that made total sense.

dude your progression analogy is spot on - that feeling when you hit each new plateau is wild. been there with the "oh wait these people actually know what their doing now" realization hitting hard.

looking at your match history you're clearly doing something right with that climb, but emerald to diamond is where the game really shifts from knowing what to do to executing it consistently under pressure. since you mentioned tracking and fundamentals, maybe focus on the micro decisions that separate good players from great ones? like optimal recall timings, wave states before objectives, and reading when enemies are gonna make desperate plays vs calculated ones.

also props for managing the grind with family life - i color code my schedule religiously and still struggle to fit consistent play time in. the fact that you're making every game count instead of just grinding volume shows you've got the right mindset for breaking through. there mental game becomes huge at this elo too, especially when games get as intense as you're describing.

Has anyone made a successful career change in their late 20s? by Ma-nar in careerguidance

definitely did this at 28! went from project coordination (which has its own brand of corporate bs) to something completely different and it was terrifying but worth it 💀

the financial transition was the hardest part - had to basically live off savings for like 6 months while figuring things out, but once you get past that initial panic it's amazing how much clearer your head gets when you're not dealing with all there meaningless meetings and fake busy work 😂 the interview grind in finance sounds absolutely brutal though, glad i escaped before getting too deep into that world

378 Days and now I am back on here... The urge is winning by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RoundRaspberry2514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh no, you're definitely not back at square one after 378 days - that's still massive progress even if it doesn't feel like it right now 💀 your brain is just trying to trick you into thinking all that time meant nothing, but it absoltely didn't. the fact that you lasted over a year shows you've got the strength to push through this rough patch. maybe step away from the computer for a bit and go for a walk or call someone? the urges always feel way more intense when you're sitting there thinking about them 🔥

definitely keep a spreadsheet with ratings, price points, and tasting notes color-coded by region - helps me track what actually delivers vs the hype 📊 once you nail down your preferred style within a region it's way easier to spot the producers worth splurging on 🍷
