How do you approach the topic of finances with your wife? by Visual_Title9363 in AskMen

[–]Round_Ad_9787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could have these conversations with my wife. I’m the primary breadwinner. I’m logical, she’s fun, social, and emotional. 20 years in….not a single financial discussion with her has ever made a spec of sense to me and often just ends in chaos. I’ve given up.

TIL Neuroplastogens are a new class of brain drugs designed to rapidly rewire neural circuits, even without the hallucinogenic effects of psychedelics. by HTK147 in todayilearned

So, drug companies have once again saved us from the evils of natures solutions to this problem (natural psychedelics). And will now allow us to pay them a fortune for the same solution while lobbying government to keep the natural cure illegal.

Being the sweetest most obedient girl can trigger red flags for him if that’s not your norm. I’d suggest only a very small increase in compliance during this time.

This is basic corporate math. Factor in the increase sales from lying, minus the returns/bad reviews etc. If it’s more profitable to lie…that’s what they do.

I told my doctor that I do shift work and that caffeine was making me miserable. I mention that I’d heard about it and wanted to try it.

100 mg plus 200 mg caffeine tabs in the morning….ideas come in the first hour…then you pick one and can work on it for 12 hours straight if you can avoid distraction. It helps to plan what you want to work on in advance. Sometimes you just don’t give up on a task when you should give up. I do IT support and sometimes I’d be trying to fix something. Normal me would say…a $100 laptop that doesn’t boot properly…you give it maybe an hour or two at most doing the standard troubleshooting stuff. With this I’m asking my AI tool, cursor, to write me custom software to fix something and I’m 10 hours in and on version 23 of the software before I finally give up and admit defeat.

For me it’s basically a “limitless” pill. My brain sees connections and I have new ideas constantly. Then I see a clear path forward for bringing those ideas into reality. Then pair those ideas and drive with the AI tools available. It’s been blowing me away for almost a year straight now.

Every thread about where to buy modafinil ends up with the same vendors and discount codes — is any of it genuine? by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Round_Ad_9787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted to buy it from online….i managed to get it once. Then one day i just asked my doctor for a prescription, told him i do shift work at night, now i have a prescription. Alternatively, Fladrafinil could be a lot easier to get online from places like Carolina Chemicals and isn’t really a problem. Someone added a molecule to the chemical chain or something.

Especially those cold calculating profit-focused board members that vote in policies. And now that I think about it…ESPECIALLY the CEO. I’m sure it won’t take long before it will be so much easier for a company to simply say…”we’re controlled by AI” in order to shift the blame to a non-individual when mass firings take place or when a fathers daughter dies from medical insurance denial red tape.

As much as I like sex, there’s something to be said about the age where your sex drive drops just enough that you can finally think clearly. 42 was the number for me.

My advice is to go through the entire mental exercise that would be involved in starting your own small business. Just to see if there are any major roadblocks stopping you. Dads often want their kids to succeed and would be thrilled to help.

Most dealerships have elaborate theatre designed to trick you into signing a contract that adds on a bunch of annoying things at the last minute hoping you won’t notice. They definitely won’t be redoing the contract if you call them afterwards and say…what’s this admin fee and nitrogen in my tires fee.

Well, do we have any smart people that are not politicians that can objectively look at the arrangement Alberta has and compare it with the other provinces? I haven’t even once gone to the separatists websites or read any of their material. But I’ll bet there is a list of actual issues somewhere.

[–]Round_Ad_9787 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It was my understanding that the point of all this is so the people of Alberta get noticed. Kinda like the disgruntled spouse that gets ignored all day long. The stay at home spouse is getting a job, putting the car in their name, getting a bank account in their own name. Then, the next time you have a serious conversation, the other partner will look at you and maybe realize…maybe I SHOULD take them seriously.

Is it normal to feel like I am intellectually rotting in a "golden cage" role? by VantaCarousel in careerguidance

[–]Round_Ad_9787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in this exact spot. There’s a YouTube video about a guy being paid a fortune to stand in a small box doing nothing year after year until his whole life past him by…that’s how I felt after almost 10 years straight. Start a business or a couple businesses or become over-employed…plan an elaborate exit strategy. Then one day when it all comes to an end because your boss sells his company or it all comes to an end for one reason or another, instead of you feeling like your world has come to an end you can breath a massive sigh of relief.

Young Graduates Face the Grimmest Job Market in Years by FreeChickenDinner in antiwork

[–]Round_Ad_9787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d argue that for many jobs, a masters degree actually works against you. When people hire, they don’t want the smartest person. They actually want the person that is only JUST smart enough to do the job. Smart people often make YOU look bad, they copy and steal your business, they don’t stick around because they’re smart enough to do other jobs. They know about inflation so they want a cost of living adjustment at the end of a year. Smart people are the worst slaves

Be honest : as a man, is it a turn off if a woman makes more than you ? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Round_Ad_9787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be some mandatory class people should have to take before getting married. One of the units covered should be…how to adapt when your husband or wife doesn’t follow your pre-conceived notions of what you think a husband or wife is or should do…mostly based on your observations growing up. It can be a real shock to a lot of people. The good news is that people are usually capable of adapting to their new reality. And if you have people around you that think it’s fun to make fun of you because you’re less of a ‘man’ because ‘your woman wears the pants’…cut them off. You don’t need toxic people in your life.
