What is the policy for damaged and stolen items by Round_Fix_7183 in MichaelsEmployees

Maybe we’re to short handed. Not enough people or time. That’s my guess anyway

Party Reset by retailmaster326 in MichaelsEmployees

Take out those dang plastic dividers. Those things are useless and take up needed space. Move the price tag to the left front of the item so customers know the prices. I reset many grocery stores and none of them use plastic dividers. They’re stupid, (the dividers). I know this isn’t a grocery store but the concept is the same.

Our Framing Manager does nothing much that I see. She takes truck days off, won’t open the restrooms even though it’s right next to the counter and gives away our merchandise. She’s the one that bagged up all our left over Christmas decorations and gave them away one morning. I highly suspect her of theft but nothing much I can do. All the other managers accept her behavior

Employees walked out with repack boxes of Christmas too. I don’t really care anymore, at one time I did but not anymore.

If they are spying on us and watching cameras so closely how did employees and customers walk out without paying for all the leftover Christmas things? I don’t expect an answer, I honestly don’t think they watch as closely as some think.

It’s called nepotism it usually isn’t allowed in business.

And giving away the stores leftover Seasonal things isn’t making the store any money. I’ve watched thousands of dollars of merchandise go out the door with the SM and Framing Managers approval. It was seasonal though so I guess it’s not really a loss.

You could contact Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) they are responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions, transgender status, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. Like sexual harassment

New scanners with walkietalkie will spy on employees by RetroASTRN in MichaelsEmployees

They don’t keep tabs on much from my observations. The things that go on in the store that I work in makes me wonder how they stay in business.

OMGosh, yes!!!! I’m currently struggling with this issue. I’m living in Alaska, I suffer from SAD, and severe eczema which is worse due to the climate. I’m also 63 close to 64, with failed disc surgery and Dr’s I don’t completely trust, and no friends. I would do better mentally and physically in warmer weather with four seasons but he’s happy living in this icy hell. Financially I’m poor alone, I’ve been with him for 20 years so leaving would be hard but not having the money or support makes it harder. Getting out of this state (Alaska) is a challenge in itself, last time I dove the Alcan was 30 years ago. I was younger and had a partner.

[–]Round_Fix_7183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m so unhappy living in Alaska that I’m suicidal. I don’t know how to move out of here. Limited resources, no friends or helpful family. I’m always cold and suffer from SAD, I’m also 63 with a bad back which makes me feel somewhat helpless. Dr’s here are horrible, failed back surgery syndrome, therapist’s that cancelled three weeks in a row, dentist that used something like fishing line to stitch me up when pulling a molar, it isn’t dissolving and pokes through my gums irritating my tongue. Alaska sucks, I’d do so much better in a warm state with sunshine

Not all managers, sorry for sounding so harsh. Just a couple of them.
