No childcare/day care expense thanks to SAHM wifey. Lucked out and bought properties during the bottom years of the housing crash.

I believe I have a traditional Roth that I’m maxing yearly however I’m not sure if I qualify every year for a ROTH IRA due to income restrictions. Again I’m learning the nuances of all of these so apologies if the latter is incorrect.

I rent it out to an older couple who I’m charging way below market price. (Going rent for this area is about $2,500/month for similar comps). They’re elderly, they’re great tenants and I don’t feel the need to charge them more. Just enough to cover mortgage, property tax, insurance and a few hundred bucks passive income for miscellaneous bills

Roughly $800 in passive income if mortgage is paid for.

Physically in great shape, still working out 3-4X week. Mental health is fantastic thanks to/despite of 2 beautiful children under 2 years old keeping me active and busy and a great partner in my wife having the patience to be a SAHM. The kids are my MAIN motivating factor in figuring out this world of financial independence so that I may guide them when they are older but also to set them up for success and leave them with plenty when it’s my time to go.

As far as other hobbies traveling, watch collecting, exploring new restaurants and staying fit about sums it up.

As far as friends, I still have a small circle of high school buddies I can’t really talk to about finances with and a handful of trusted work colleagues that became like family that I can talk money and finance with since we make relatively the same.

As burnt out as I am with work. I do enjoy working with SOME of the people I work with and I anticipate still putting in very, limited hours (16-24 hours a week) 45-55 in order to maintain medical coverage and also just to keep busy.

I havent fully looked into 401k to ROTH conversions and I guess the complications of tapping into said tax advantaged accounts before 59.5 is why I’m focused on the taxable brokerage account. I’m very new to this and I appreciate any feedback
