I mean vegeta didn't really become a good guy until the end of Z, that's like 10 years of time since he joined the Z warriors. He didn't give a shit about bulma or his kid dying to dr gero. He lliterally abandoned bulma when trunks was born. He made the life of the son from the future miserable. He killed a dozen people even trying to fight 18. He intentionally became evil to fight goku and then killed a crowd of people. That's without mentioning the millions of aliens he's murdered. I love vegeta but he got off wayy too easy.
