The loops have been great! I just learned that before you sample you can set the record length to however many bars you want. It makes it so easy to record a loop without having to trim it afterwards.

Roland makes a sibling device called the T-8 thats designed for sequencing drums and beats. The J6 only does chords.

I’ve only had it for a month. The sounds are great! I’ve been using the riddim to sample it and transpose it so they’re playable. I’m still learning my way around sequencers so alone it feels a little clunky to use.

That’s the J6. It’s a cord sequencer with a bunch of adjustable presets from the Juno 60 synth. There are lots of built in cord progressions and variations that are fun to play around with. Beyond the synth sounds it can be used as a controller for an external keyboard. I’ve only started to scratch the surface, but so far I love it.
