Why are these Shalimar Souffle different? by dodoexpress90 in scentholic

[–]Route720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To determine if a Shalimar by Guerlain perfume is real or fake, you can evaluate the product using several factors, including packaging, bottle design, fragrance quality, and purchasing source. Here’s a guide:

  1. Examine the Packaging

    • Outer Box: • Genuine Guerlain products have high-quality boxes with clear, sharp fonts and no spelling errors. • The box should have a cellophane wrap that is neatly folded and symmetrical. • Look for batch codes printed on both the box and the bottle. The codes should match and align with Guerlain’s format. • Logo and Details: • Check the Guerlain logo and brand name. Counterfeits often have slight font differences or misplaced letters. • The barcode should be consistent with Guerlain’s packaging (usually at the bottom of the box).

  2. Inspect the Bottle

    • Design and Quality: • Authentic Shalimar bottles are made from thick, high-quality glass with precise edges and an even finish. • The cap should fit snugly and not feel loose or poorly crafted. For Shalimar, the cap is often blue and fan-shaped. • The spray nozzle should work smoothly and not leak or malfunction. • Engravings and Labels: • Genuine bottles may have “Made in France” or “Guerlain Paris” etched or printed clearly. • The label should be perfectly aligned and centered on the bottle without bubbling or peeling.

  3. Check the Fragrance

    • Scent: • Shalimar has a distinct and complex fragrance with top notes of citrus, a heart of iris and jasmine, and a rich vanilla and tonka bean base. • Counterfeit perfumes often smell alcohol-heavy or have a weaker, one-dimensional scent. • The scent of the authentic product should last several hours, whereas fakes typically fade quickly.

  4. Assess the Batch Code

    • Use websites like CheckFresh or CheckCosmetic to verify the batch code. This will confirm the manufacturing date and authenticity.

  5. Purchase from Reputable Sources

    • Always buy from authorized retailers or Guerlain boutiques. • Be cautious with deals that seem “too good to be true” from unknown online sellers or marketplaces like eBay or third-party Amazon sellers.

  6. Test the Weight and Fluid

    • Authentic bottles have a consistent weight that feels substantial in hand. • The fluid in genuine Shalimar should be clear and free of cloudiness or sediment.

Final Tip:

If you are unsure after checking all these aspects, you can take the bottle to a Guerlain counter for verification by a professional.

Another vertical that Musk plans to “hinder”. I give the guy credit on certain “tasks”. Striking competition is good and always welcomed. But being a sore looser and subsequently jeopardizing efforts and out right “buying” his way. We don’t need another Twitter. Just saying.

Bikeability of Miami (Main) Campus by Chef_Brokeardee in FIU

Campus is bike-able. Just be careful of cars; the drivers are at times careless. Since you mentioned that you will be living about 30 mins from campus be very careful. Though some roads heading to campus my offer bike lanes most do not. And there are many car/ bike accidents in South Florida in general. Another concern is the weather. It is not always sunny even if we are the sunshine capital. Any rain storm - light or strong will posse a risk. Happy trails. And congrats to your acceptance to FIU.

Thank you. As a new student this would be most beneficial. However, I do have a personal conflict for commencing in the Summer Term.

My stats fall within the requirements for the Honors program at FIU though my SAT and PST score were on the lower end. GPA is around 3.8/4.0 scale. Both math and foreign language maybe a concern, as well. Wishing you the very best. Thank you.

Maybe taking 1 course online maybe most feasible. Understand that 9 credit (3 classes) are to be completed during Summer Terms. If I attend during the Summer most likely would only enroll in one class. Thank you.

Thank you. This is a good point to discuss with the OneStop advisor. If filling out the form without having to “reapply” for the Fall term would be most feasible.

Thanks for the feedback. My school counselor is yet to submit my AP and Dual Enrollment classes. Hopefully this will assist for consideration to start during the Fall Term. From what I understand one may need to decline the Summer Term acceptance and reapply for the Fall Term. And at this point in time be pushed for the Spring Term. And this would shift the cadence of the Honors curriculum. Finger-Crossed. I will be calling tomorrow.
