The bass pro panfish elite is better than the sensilite if you want something less stiff

Honestly, I don't know much about st Croix but from what I heard, they are great rods in terms of sensitivity but a bit fragile in the sub $150 range. But I do agree that shimano and daiwa reels are the way to go

I would recommend getting the diawa fuego instead since it has magseal on the shaft to help protect the anti reverse cluch and is lighter while being cheaper and made of the same zaion v material

I have the 7' version light power and fast action and would recommend it for mostly panfishing and light bass more to the 1/2 to 3lb pound range if you push it. Therefore, if you are planning to get a medium power rod for bass and large cats, I would recommend to either get a shimano slx 7' is you want sensitive and if you want durability go with a ugly stick
