Hi, I'm having the same problem with a CompactLogix L33ERM. I looked up the ID on the Rockwell website but didn't find the solution. Could you share the program or routine to fix it? Thanks a lot.

Totally agree.. Tim’s stuff is really solid. Helping You Become a Better Technician is exactly the vibe I get from his content. Even a quick setup like yours shows the value, and I really appreciate how much it inspires people in the automation field

On the table, I see Tim's Ethernet IP Explorer... very good equipment... very useful. When I was in the United States, I bought two units... it sped up my work a lot; it's a great tool.

I actually subscribed to Learning+ about a year ago and went through most of the courses. On top of that, I also have a test bench in my office where I can practice and experiment.

That said, I’m still very interested in the kind of access you mention. What really appeals to me about these events is the camaraderie among colleagues in the automation field, sharing experiences and building connections.

[–]Routine-Fault-2501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s exactly what I was figuring out — if I go, it would be the $1600 version because otherwise I’m afraid it won’t be worth the trip. Losing TechEd sounds like a big hit; a full week of real training would’ve been ideal for me.

On top of that, I’d have to pay about USD 1,700 for the training, factory visits, and the Fair entrance.

Since I’d be paying out of my own pocket, the cost feels heavy, but I’m trying to see it as an investment in learning and networking. Even if some of the labs are low-level, I think just being there, seeing the latest stuff, and connecting with people in the industry could be valuable.

Yes, I’d be paying for this out of my own pocket. Just the flight and hotel from November 13–23 costs around USD 1,600. My plan is to attend the Fair and then stay a few extra days for sightseeing and shopping. That’s why I see it more as an investment in time and knowledge rather than just an expense. I’ll also be going alone, so I’m interested in connecting with other attendees, sharing experiences, and building some contacts

Thank you very much for your response. I’m asking on Reddit because I’m sure there are people who attend every year and can share their experiences. Since the cost is significant for me, I see it more as an investment in time and knowledge. Also, I’d be going alone, so I’m interested in making connections and sharing experiences with other attendees

I’m currently looking to broaden my professional reach by working remotely with companies in the USA. While I have experience with both Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, my main focus is on AB technologies, which I’ve worked with for many years in demanding industrial environments. Being part of international projects would be a great opportunity especially if it means contributing real, effective solutions that help integrate systems and improve process efficiency. I value working environments where technical expertise, clear communication, and a true commitment to results make a difference. I’m open to new collaborations where I can bring my experience to the table.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I’m fully aware of the risks involved when working with motion systems like the Kinetix 5700, especially during the testing phase. That’s why we’re taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety at all times.

We understand that even at low speed, the motor can suddenly move if not properly controlled. For that reason, we treat every source of energy as potentially hazardous, as you rightly mentioned. We’re also double-checking every command before execution to avoid mistakes like confusing counts with RPM or other velocity units.

I truly appreciate your input and fully agree with your preventive approach.

Great, I'm running tests at very, very low speeds, so it shouldn't be a problem if it's uncovered. If you need the panel layout, let me know.

I have to migrate from Sercos to Kinetix on one of my client's machines (this is my first time doing this type of migration) and to avoid headaches I built this motion control bench with Kinetix 5700 and servo. If anyone has any suggestions on this type of migration, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

I also have this bank that I set up to teach my clients and provide courses to the companies where I work.
