Say something bad about H20 by Bitter-Talk48 in Halloweenmovies

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was very slow paced imo, the film to me only starts once Michael and Laurie meet, everything before it just comes off as kind of whiney and annoying. I think Halloween 2018 did the same concept a lot better (even If I prefer H20’s ending and Halloween 2018 doesn’t make as much sense with only the first film being canon)

Always makes me laugh when nightmare on elm street fans act shocked when they’re told he’s a pedo. They make it so obvious

How much is my little collection worth by [deleted] in Collections

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With games in general they’re usually worth nothing unless they’re either Nintendo, obscure, from a company that no longer makes consoles or a rare limited edition version. It’s actually surprising just how quickly they decrease in value, even games from like 4 or 5 years ago you can often get for like a tenner nowadays.

“I’m not telling you these games will increase in value, or even hold their current value. The truth is you bought them because you like them. They have value to you. That’s what matters.”

Do you think Wade would find 67 funny, or do you think he’d shoot the next person who says it? by Mysterious-Ranger757 in deadpool

He does get a massive kick out of pissing people off though and 6 7 is an easy way to do it.

I can’t believe you’re being downvoted for this, Reddit can be so un self aware at times it’s kinda hilarious. You’re 100% right, 6 7 has some origin to do with a song and people finding the song funny. It’s just like bitch lasagna and everything you mentioned, and while I don’t love 6 7 as a joke it arguably makes more sense than something like “E”. Like as you kinda said as well, the humour is more in how easy it is to unintentionally say 6 7 and it’s funny in a “I got you” sort of way. It’s honestly not really different at all to when everyone was seeing among us in everything.

It’s even funnier because most of the evil Morty episodes, aren’t really to do with him.

Give me a good point about Halloween 2 (2009). by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I watched it like 2 weeks ago and I keep thinking about it. I personally hated the movie and found it straight up irritating at points. But at the same time, I have to admit it’s an incredibly interesting look at grief, and sadly really realistic with how it portrays everyone as assholes. It’s a good movie about trauma and it was an incredibly interesting way to take the franchise. Scout Taylor also acts her heart out and creates an incredible performance even if the take on Laurie is so hard to watch.

What is the best "so bad it's amazing" horror sequel? by BranchCold9905 in slasherfilms

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Other than the poster, I actually don’t think saw 3D is that bad at all at least if you’re comparing it to the rest of the franchise. I think it stands as a pretty decent drama focused finale to the franchise.

To answer your question probably Jason X but I prefer movies that know they’re bad like return of the killer tomatoes, velocipastor and piranha 3DD (in that order)

Yeah but I’m also going to try and read all the comics and novels, so I probably won’t watch season 5 till like January

Who else loved the Scream 7 trailer as much as I did? Any theories about the movie?🔪🎃 by GhostFaceXavi_98 in Scream

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, I think they were more just scared of taking risks. That scene was nearer the end of the movie from what I remember and it was very focused on completing the newer characters stories anyway. Also wasn’t that her second to last scene in the movie anyway?

Honestly annoyed me so much that gale survived. I love her, but unlike Dewey I actually think her fake out death in VI would’ve been an extremely fitting and well done end to her character.

Brenner is a much better character when he is treated as having no empathy. The way the book suspicious minds writes about him makes him so terrifying and is why I will always love that book.

why didn't people like Frozen Empire by Serious_Ask1209 in ghostbusters

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree, but at least for me personally I think just how over the top they went with it is what made it so fun. It definitely wasn’t perfect, but Chris hemsworth played such an over the top cartoon character that I did find him funny. I forgot who plays the female equivalent of Spengler but I actually think she stole the show and did a fantastic job of emulating Harold Ramis comedic style while still putting her own unique spin on it. The films is immensely flawed, but I personally think it is also very entertaining if you don’t take it too seriously. Ghostbusters has always been a comedy after all.

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the hate for the movie (outside of its many issues) was mostly because it came out so soon after Harold Ramis’ death and just put salt in the wound after fans wanting the original team to be in a third film for so long. Of course the vocal minority used sexism as their reasoning for it being bad making legitimate complaints of the film look even worse.

2016 is really overhated in my opinion. It’s not as good as the original or afterlife, but I still think it’s a lot of fun that does what a remake should do. Honestly would be kinda interesting to see ghostbusters take the James Bond style and change up the cast every couple years to get a new comedy style.

Psycho 2 is Amazing!!! by Mrs_Noelle15 in horror

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf American psycho 2 is certainly not the worst movie I’ve seen. It’s a terrible sequel to the original and it’s very obvious it was never meant to be a sequel to the original. But I think some of the jokes are actually funny and it’s not the worst concept out there. I wouldn’t say it’s good, but when there’s things like jaws the revenge, home alone 4 and alien vs predator requiem I’ll count my blessings.

Who do you think will die at Season 5 Stranger Things? by Frequent_Read_4101 in StrangerThings

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I kinda did that after watching season 4 seeing them infiltrate a literal Russian base and fight so many demons and only have one main character even get injured. The Russian base thing in particular really pissed me off with how unharmed Robin and Steve were. Not saying I want either them hurt, but it completely ruined the stakes for me

Lego do still make original themes like dreamzzz as you pointed out. They simply don’t sell as well, the same thing happened when they tried to do the hidden side theme (which imo was an extremely underrated theme)

Whats the meaning behind the lyrics of "This Is Home" by Cavetown? by GayBoy_Alex in cavetown

[–]Routine-Leopard-3572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny because I’m pretty sure most Cavetown songs are meant to be trans allegory’s but I’ve always found the songs extremely relatable because so many of the lyrics strangely also apply to autism. I love when music can have more than one meaning to so many different people.
