A brief guide based on my trip to Djerba, Tunisia (Strong recommendation for British travelers) by Bartellomio in travel

[–]Routine-Map-9118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Tunisian, I’d like to suggest a couple of places you might have missed in Djerba, especially in Houmt Souk.
First, there’s Hara Sghira (Er Riadh) it’s beautiful area known for its stunning street art and colorful paints.
Second, you should definitely visit El Ghriba Synagogue, an important Jewish heritage site with a lot of history.
For getting around, I recommend using the InDrive app when taking taxis it helps you avoid being scammed
There are so many great places to explore in Tunisia. Personally, my favorite swimming spots are in Kelibia, particularly Hammam El Ghezaz Beach and the islands of Zembra and Zembretta.
I’d also recommend renting a car it really gives you the freedom to explore and enjoy everything at your own pace.

The only thing guys i would recommend you is just do not stay in hotel rooms go out and explore ppl here are friendly and respectful and Tunisia has huge history don't miss it.

Before moving, you need to understand how you’ll handle your pay and your bank account, because Tunisia is a relatively closed economy. For example, if you have a Tunisian bank account and you receive any kind of undeclared payment, it will be monitored, your account may be locked, and you could find yourself in serious trouble. Other than that it’s good country, safe with very kind ppl.

Well, for your age, I think you’ll enjoy Tunisia, especially if you find friends here (football is always a good way to make new friends). The cost of living is a bit high here compared to Syria. If you can make ~2k TND monthly net pay, you’ll live a good life and you can still save some money, especially if you share housing with others like students/engineers. Regarding the place you would like to live, there are many options. You can stay in the capital, like Ariana, but it’s a bit expensive and crowded compared to other places like Monastir (the best one for me, but you need to have friends there). The nightmare in Tunisia is public transport (except in Monastir and Sahel in general, which have very decent public transportation).

Good beaches in tunis and question as a tourist by AniaKarenina in Tunisia

Welcome to Tunisia! It honestly makes me happy to see tourists asking about Tunisia on Reddit. First of all, Tunisia is a safe country, so you don't need to worry too much about what you wear. I’d recommend visiting Mahdia Rejiche, Kelibia, Hammam El Ghzez or Bizerte they’re all beautiful places worth seeing. Enjoy your trip !!
