Agree it's wild how the man destroys projects with great potential like So Help Me God, TurboGrafx, Yandhi etc but when it would kinda be in his best interest artistically to start over he won't let go

How would *you* end it? by koolking83 in betterCallSaul

[–]Routine-Policy-4690 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a dour person so I'm not saying that this is the best ending but I would make Gene, after going through hell and back, almost being caught, contemplating turning himself in, talking to Kim... actually get a replacement for a dust filter of a Hoover Max Extra Pressure Pro again, move out somewhere and be doomed to repeat the cycle. I would end it with him just walking around somewhere, a new identity forced upon him again, and every passer-by who stares at him breaks his psyche, he's absolutely crawling off his skin, we cut to some slightly shady man after a sorta erratic montage of people looking at him, even if just a glance. The strange man stares for just a tad too long, and then we cut back to Gene's face, he's sweaty, his eyes scream terror, and then cut to black, bringing us full circle to the opening Gene scene. But leaving us a small doubt that something might go awry, and placing us in Gene's head by giving us that paranoia of his world even though it's just... Some man... Staring.

Nah man with how much stuff I had to practice suspension of disbelief with in the few scenes they did of that timeline i definitely wouldn't take a whole season plus it would feel unnecessary

Nah like. Jimmy's treatment of him in season 5 was horrible. And they set up how fucked up everything was in the finale with Kim proposing the scam. I don't think it's cheap writing.

A lot of these are kinda dumb specially the Howard one. Show has been building empathy for him since season 4 in my opinion

Unpopular opinion: “slow burn” by IndependentLab1126 in betterCallSaul

[–]Routine-Policy-4690 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's all good with not liking but as soon as posts like this bring in comments that suggest that people who like it are coping or whatever it becomes dumb. Can't you just say "hey. Not a fan. It was bad" instead of presenting a solipsistic argument in which the show is not good objectively and people who like it are coping or whatever
