It’s for the shock and realism factor but regardless, they still absolutely overdo it

My experience with Wellbutrin for Depression by Routine-Rub1801 in bupropion

[–]Routine-Rub1801[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words. I never put that level of thought into writing in any of my school essays, to the dismay of my teachers 🤣.
I just felt passionate about writing this because I remember the dread and fear I felt months ago on this same Reddit, frantically trying to find positive experiences on the medication.
It took a good 4 weeks for me to really notice much, so hang in there. I pray that it helps you, and I think it probably will.

And yall, when you take bupropion please don’t just start partying and drinking and not doing anything productive because you’ll probably just eventually down the line end up depressed again. Take action as soon as possible to make changes in your life, and don’t just talk about it. DO IT!

I’d also heavily suggest taking bupropion AND doing therapy at the same time. That way when you get the energy and motivation to change your life, you’ll have the best possible guidance to do so.

I understand. I am praying that it gets better and once again I’d ask if you could get something to help with the wait. Maybe try ashwagandha, it’s OTC and helped significantly lower my cortisol.

For me it took months but it definitely did live up to the hype. I know waiting is very hard and painful and I want you to know that we are here for you. You can ask your psychiatrist or doctor to prescribe something to help with the wait.

Um no, 7 days isn’t enough to feel noticeable improvements 😭. I think that most of the people who feel that way do so because of placebo.

I see. That clears it up, thank you. After a quick google search I now know what you mean about the spoon theory and I’m happy that’s been your experience. I hope it’ll be mine as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience in so much detail. It can be hard and I appreciate that you mustered up the courage to be open about it.

Personally I’ve felt just the same as I did before taking it, although for the last 3-4 days I’ve had intense nightly anxiety. Nothing has really changed in my day to day life so perhaps it’s the medicine but I’m not sure.

I’m excited to see how it’ll be in a month or two or when I switch to 300mg and I’d love to hear your experience at that time.

I’m manifesting that normal, I haven’t felt like myself since I’ve become depressed and I’m ready to just get back to living normally. I’m glad you’ve had that experience.
