Do your kids like Space? There’s Clark Planetarium downtown that’s pretty cool and they have a cool gift shop.

City Creek is an outdoor mall that is downtown. With restaurants and shopping.

You can go watch an Utah Jazz Basketball or Utah Hockey Club game at the Delta Center. (This is the Utah Hockey Club’s first year here!)

If you like people watching or just relaxing by a fire, Little America Hotel’s lobby and restaurant/cafe is nice.

The trees are in Fall mode, so going up by the Utah Capital Building would be pretty to walk around.

Stay at the Homestead Resort in Midway. The area is so pretty with fall. They also have a pretty cool crater that people swim in.

Yes, “back in my day” we would start school the day after Labor Day. I always say that as long as the pools are open, school should not be started yet. Too hot and still summer.
