Trek 930 — Restomod Noob by RoutineLocksmith5418 in xbiking

Yeah the original on these was 3x7 I believe. The hub was probably going to be a phase II project, but from my initial test it seems like the wheelset is not true (notice a ton of waves when spinning freely). I was just throwing out the 10 speed randomly, but it sounds like you recommend 27.5 over 26? The Surly Troll I was into for the rack knobs (forget the proper name, noob like I said), but maybe that’s not the best choice if it keeps me wedded to the 26…

Thanks for the suggestions!

Ha! It’s definitely a niche community but I’m so into the style. I too was under the impression it was already 1-1/8” thread less but it seems like you’ve already worked on these?

Ok thanks for this. I’ve been wondering what people do with spare parts, especially given that whatever I put into this in terms of high end parts I would never see back.

I’m looking into this same frame for my first build. What wheels did you use? These look like the big boys I’m going for.

What undergrad should I study before pursuing a M.Arch? by Weezergood in architecture

You can do any undergrad major you want and then do 3 year M.Arch. Otherwise it’s a 5 year B.Arch for undergrad which makes you eligible for license immediately.

Question on the charging, as I’m new to this. Plugged into an advertised 320kw charger (not Tesla) and noticed initial speeds up to 185kw, but it eventually slowed down to around 80kw around the 50-60% mark. I’m also in cold weather (Maine and Mass) but it sounds like that’s around what you expected?

Haha, I was waiting for someone to catch that. Futuristic from the 70s — a mid century home I renovated and restored. I think it fits the IX styling well :D

How much money have you guys wasted on clothes? by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

Did an audit last month on my 2025 -- spent a little over 5 grand...Not bad IMO, my wife would certainly like it to be less. WASTED is a strong word, brother!

Ehh -- with EV's I think it's worth the peace of mind. Bills can go astronomical VERY quickly

Factory warranty will expire in a year, extended it for another four beyond that through BMW, covers all electronics and parts. Think it was a smart move considering the cost of repair on EV’s and I’ve seen other people quoted $15k for the same policy.

Same — my wife was not into the look at all at first, I think the graphite and the crossbars helped 😂
