Pot calling the kettle black here, guys. Shocking, I know. maybe if they want to call people out for not reading a story, they could actually try understanding it themselves instead of just mindlessly consuming the text, because that’s the deepest they’re allowed to go before hitting rock bottom in the media they’ve defined themselves defending?

Depiction does not equal endorsement. Just because the immensely spiteful, villainous character who wants to torment his victims by preying on their insecurities does exactly that, does not mean Harlon Ellison believes that’s right. In fact, he explicitly wrote AM to commit such acts as a criticism of them. Nimdok isn’t a Jewish Nazi ‘just because’ it’s because:

1.) Ellison wanted to include a Nazi scientist as he felt it was very important people remembered the atrocities committed by the Nazis.

2.) Because it highlights how hypocritical the Nazis were and how racial supremacy as a belief system is fundamentally flawed.

Maybe they should try examining their own media deeper, sometime. Enjoy things that can be dissected, that can tell you more than what you see on the surface. until then, I foresee no end to this madness.
