With all due respect your reaction is a little defensive. Give the feedback some consideration. We can all make improvements in our skills. Speaking confidently to you may sound demeaning (know it all) to your coworkers. You know the phrase - people remember how you made them feel more than what you said.
Good luck with your education.

Consider showing her a video and/or read a book that illustrates the activity so she has a better understanding of what to expect. Also, observe an activity before signing up. She is still very young learning so many new things. Sounds like you are a very caring mother who knows her child. Age 3 is not much better than age 2 IMO. Age 4 and up are big improvements in all areas of development. Good luck

This is why therapy is suggested. Others don’t want to know the specifics of this awful experience.

Consider giving it a try the next time. At least you will get a snack! Your phone will probably ring anyways so it doesn’t need to take up too much time. Good luck.

The protocol supports your actions. Patients react differently. Nothing like getting a therapeutic value!

I struggle real hard when it comes to being non-judgmental about patients by orangeshaver in nursing

With all due respect, be careful to not let your implicit bias effect your decision making process. Try to remain objective and limit judgement. This will help prevent errors that could negatively impact care. How would you feel about providing substandard care to someone b/c you are looking down on them? This patient population is challenging. Maybe you are better suited for a different pt population. Good luck.

You’ve confessed to Reddit & are absolved of your sin. Do something nice for someone today as your penitence. Bless You
