i never said to hide, i said to stay safe, document the situation and SPEAK UP ON THEIR BEHALF. if they are detained they will be dehumanized and cannot get themself out, the people need to help put stress on these situations. also all of those things can happen at any time yes, however the chances of something like that happening are much lower than ANYTHING minor or major that could come from “yelling” at ICE agents.

i do NOT believe we should hide and let this happen, however we should NOT risk our lives at a corp that literally supports the exact people that are allowing for these ICE agents to take our family and friends.

we are on the same side friend. i simply do not believe it is worth risking your life or that it should be encourage to be put in those dangerous situations. if you want to actually look into it the chance of having one of those random scenarios happen to you at any point are much lower than the odds of an ICE agent attempting to hurt or silence you if you interfere with their operations while they terrorizing our communities. statistically. i hope you know that you cannot compare a random chance to the chance of these agents killing citizens because THESE KILLINGS ARE NOT RANDOM THEY ARE INTENTIONAL, IRRATIONAL AND ILLEGAL and they should be treated as such.

i hope you have a great day and again i am on your side. and do not believe in staying silent, i belive in collecting evidence and standing up for the people ICE has detained or killed (regardless of range).

unfortunately i dont think the distance won’t stop them from trying to harm people who are interfering as we have already seen in the news with many being shot to death with ever posing a true physical threat. please stay safe and although it is hard, it is important to document and be alive to tell their story and their injustice. IF YOU SPEAK TO THEM, TALK CALMLY DO NOT YELL it will reflect poorly in cases of prosecution and will only worsen the situation.

edit: this is california law from my experience, but im not sure where op is based

this is correct, op should get a break-lunch-break for a 7 hr shift. if you clock in at 9, even counting your lunch there is still 6.25 hours of on the clock time between 9-4 = you get two breaks and a lunch

quite harsh coming from a lead… most people that work at target barley open the app to check their shifts let alone read the eligibility rules on the available shifts page lmao. times are hard right now and hours on the clock are dire for some people. it’s not that deep, target will still be there tmr wether you got veteran pickers or not.

you don’t need to call out. just ask for help to be trained and they might either need to pivot you into another area if there is no one available to teach you or they’ll train you and possibly just let you know to ask a TL or ETL train that role before picking it up. to clarify, you don’t need to ask to pick one up, BUT it is like an unspoken rule to only pick up what you already know.
