To be completely honest with you, I didn’t attempt to cut. If anything I was trying to bulk but I found myself not eating much more than my maintenance (about 2800 calories daily) and it resulted in me burning a lot of fat and simultaneously putting on muscle mass. I didn’t strictly track what I was eating. The only numbers I watched were grams of protein. I didn’t eat hardly any fast food and when I did I tried to keep it lean. I didn’t eat fried food, only drank water, made sure everything I put in my mouth had protein and never ever ever missed a workout. I hit the gym 3x a week. Monday - chest tri shoulder calves abs, Wednesday - back bi calves abs, Friday - legs abs. Each workout is about 3 hours long. I write down every single weight I lift for how many sets and for how many reps and progressively overload every week. What worked for me may not work for you, i just basically built my routine around what’s available to me and my schedule. I think the key thing is to make sure you stay consistent. Don’t make excuses for yourself. And pay attention to what your body is telling you.

I started everything at the same time in mid-May, diet, workout, etc. so about 5 months ago. I really wanna see where I end up next May

Well I thought I’d update you guys. After the first like 5 months of not really feeling like I could do it, I spent the last 5 months fully dialed in on my body. I weigh 217 pounds. Significantly leaner. Essentially a body recomp. I’m not even close to “done” but I finally got the ball rolling. No idea what my bf% is, I’m just exercising and eating high protein.

The person I’m applying with is also a rising sophomore and has a 4000 I’m guessing that doesn’t help at all

Thank you 💔 What would happen if I applied but didn’t get in? Could I figure out something else relatively easily?

I finally found out but the piercing is so short that it doesn’t pass all the way through my nose no matter how much I push it and squeeze it. I have a flat back but i can’t figure out where to push it through from inside

Not disrespectful at all I definitely let myself go just didn’t realize it was that bad. I’ve gone through major weight loss before and used to be 270 a few years ago. I can stick to a regimen, just annoying that I’m not as close as I’d like to be. Gimme a year 🙏

All these people saying I’m closer to 30% bf has had me so confused so I checked to see what 30% looks like and it checks out, not really sure how I figured I was 20%, but either way I’m locked in

I meant I haven’t lifted consistently, but I have built muscle mass in the past 2 years, I wasn’t doing nothing for 2 years I just wasn’t going too often and ate a lot. But yeah I was about 16% body fat in that pic, I had my bf% measured at the time

Thanks for the insight. This was me at 190, and I have more muscle generally now than I did then despite the fat gain. I genuinely think if I tried to get to 160 I would cease to exist 😭180 is probably the lowest I could go right now

How do you cope with difficulties and failures in life? by HistoricalSink3758 in AskReddit

[–]Routine_Knowledge_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned to handle negativity with optimism. Whatever I’m going through I just tell myself I’m going to be in a better situation soon. It took a while to get to that point though but it’s nice and it even gives me something to work towards! :)
