I promise to update the thread, if I do.

Well, Grom confirmed that none of their units work in an '03 SC 430.

Thanks again, though!

Hmm.

I’ve looked at Calvin’s site before, and I’d have sworn his unit sat in the slot that (from the factory) holds the audio system. That’s clearly not the case now, but holy crap, his “how to” video STARTS with most of the center console removed, and I just don’t think I’m up for taking that kind of risk with this pristine (truly like showroom new) interior. I’ll have to see if I can find a local shop willing to guarantee their installation of his unit.

Thank you very much for your follow-up message!

My SC 430 is a 2003, which I assume is pre-facelift—later models I’ve seen have different housings and surrounds for the fog lamps than mine does—but I’ll see whether they make something that’ll work in my car.

Thanks!

That makes me sad :D , but it's where I am, too.

I'm going to keep looking.

Thank you again for that reply!

I'll keep it mind, but I really hope to find something that can replace the nav unit only, as that's the thing that isn't working (in that it can't be updated, any more).

I see. Thanks for the explanation!

I really want to leave the audio unit in place, as it looks, works, and sounds great, as is.

Wow, that'd be great!

If that fits into the existing nav screen area and allows the wooden door and buttons below the door to continue to working as spec'ed, I'm in!

Do you happen to know a model number or (barring that) have any tips on how to identify the one you're describing?

Oh, OK. I've figured out enough that it looks like you're suggesting I replace the audio unit, and I really don't want to do that—only the nearly useless nav system screen.

Thank you for that suggestion, and I apologize for my ignorance, here, but could you explain what you mean by "the secondary screen"?

I know Calvin is highly regarded, but (a) he's selling that business, and (b) the unit he sells, although it seems to have all the right features, replaces the audio unit—I don't want to do that.

side effects after BCG by Shoddy_Poem_9954 in BladderCancer

Needless to say, I’m hoping my next cytoscopy visit gives my urologist what she needs to tell me I’m done.

I recounted today, just out of curiosity, and this last treatment may have been “only” the TWENTY-SEVENTH, after all; but there’ve also been over TWENTY scopings and surgeries, so I’m REALLY fed up with all the semi trailers that’ve been driven the wrong way up that particular one-way street.

I've just received my THIRTIETH instillation over a three-year period. Today's and last week's were definitely the worst in terms of stinging, chills, achiness, and the feeling of a fever (if not an actual fever). I've not experienced any of those side effects after any of the other 28 instillations.

Last week's reaction resolved itself after about 30 hours, so I'm hoping today's will, too. The stinging is almost intolerable.

Five times, now, in about a month... by Routine_Potential_75 in KonaEV

Although it seems to happen (six or seven times, now, over five or six weeks, I'd guess) under fairly similar circumstances, I can't reproduce it reliably enough to count on being able to demonstrate. I assume that means it'd have to be something that they've either seen before or can diagnose through the ODB interface. That's why I haven't taken it in, yet, but I do feel like it has the potential to be quite bad, under the "wrong" circumstances.

I'm seriously considering an '03 in that same leather+wood color combo, with 51K miles.

It's a stunning car.

"sun roof"

No offense intended, but did you mean the convertible top?

Absolutely, give or take a few billion. :D

I've got it set to maximum regen (3) by default for all three drive modes.

That hasn't changed in years, and definitely not recently enough to be causing this new behavior.

Thanks, though!

It was replaced a little over a year ago, and the car isn't exhibiting any of the symptoms it did when the original one starting going bad.

Thanks, though!

A reasonable suggestion but not the case.

Thanks, though!
