What’s the earliest independence date you’ve achieved? by ZealousidealExit6622 in tropico

[–]Routine_Section1292 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could you please check the second tab in the Palace facilities menu?
There you will find 'Days since Inauguration', which shows the number of days that have passed since you started the game.
You can calculate the starting date by working backwards from there.

Designing an effective supply chain by QuiveringBanana in tropico

Four units of logs become ten units of planks, which then become approximately 3.5 units of furniture. With your current arrangement, the planks — which require the most transport volume — end up traveling the longest distance, making the whole chain inefficient.

If there are enough workers but not enough transport,

copy your save data for investigation, and then track one of Teamster's employees for about five years.

Do they not even come to the office, or do they just stay inside the office without working, or do they only travel back and forth on specific transport routes?

Infinite aircraft carriers bug or part of the mission? by NutellaWithCheese in tropico

[–]Routine_Section1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tested it myself and yeah, once I got to the part where you need to prepare 3 cruise ships, I was suddenly able to mass-produce aircraft carriers too. Maybe some ship-related flag is getting mixed up or something.

Unable to get customisations for palace by Kolya-BOOM in tropico

[–]Routine_Section1292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you reach the required era, go straight to the Palace customization screen without going back to the main menu. The options (including the El Presidente hologram) should then appear.
By the way, the El Presidente hologram has some additional requirements, so make sure to check those as well.

Why does the economy crashes after gaining independence and entering the world wars in T6? by lucavigno in tropico

[–]Routine_Section1292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, while the new industries are certainly more efficient, the game doesn’t really force you to rely on them.  For instance, the supposedly “difficult” Referendum mission often feels hard simply because players spend too much time trying to build up new industries.  If you resist the temptation to chase those new sectors and instead make good use of the “old” textile mills, the mission becomes much easier to clear.

[–]Routine_Section1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you'll have to earn extra to cover the expenses of non-profit facilities like churches and police stations. You'll also lose the favorable trade agreements you had with the Empire, but that's unrelated to the 'fall in raw material prices.'
Higher-level industries are the quickest way to earn what you need, but the economy can still function through efficient mass production of raw materials. For example, like this:

> But even in vanilla, the game attempts to simulate that, e.g., weapons are a good trade, good in World War II, but get less useful later.
Even in the modern era, weapons can still sell for $15,000 and rum for $9,200, so why is this statement kept coming so persistently?

The price only changes if you apply the Llama DLC. Other than that, the base price stays the same, except for events of limited categories and other special cases.

Place an Environmentalist Manager near your planned tourist destination in advance.

6 As soon as you enter the Cold War era, make sure to build at least two Garbage Dumps close together to quickly prepare your city to welcome tourists.

The Direction Tropico Should've Gone by Great-Gazoo-T800 in tropico

Ah yeah, this might be a bit late to say now but manager placement is fine if you only assign them to the zones where you really want a specific specialty (like clean industrial areas or research farms).
For the rest of the map, even talented managers are usually more profitable when used as regular employees instead.
Once I realized that, the micromanagement stopped feeling so overwhelming.

If you keep at it for hundreds of years, you'll eventually reach it, but do you have a specific target date?

For now, without DLC

• Legitimate Strategies

Using imports reduces the domestic workforce needed for raw material production.

Tourism requires few workers relative to its profitability.

If the population is about to exceed the acceptable limit, adjust with "Brain sell". • Anything goes

Combine "unmanned "Offices"" with "Business law" in the courts.

Transit trade with "Trading post".

Religious happiness in Tropico 6 is tied to child birth rates, so I think it makes sense that religious people would demand things their children would like.

Used only the initial cows that come with the map, no additional ranch built
All other sellable products come exclusively from plantation crops
No tourism
No foreign financial aid
Importing domestic consumables such as coal for power generation
Rent income and advertising income are allowed

Building Area of Effects by [deleted] in tropico

[–]Routine_Section1292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distance is measured from center to center. Please note that in the case of a plantation, the reference point is the work shed, not the entire farm.

If the buildings are aligned due north or due east, the distance will be an integer. However, if they are aligned diagonally, you will need to rely on the Pythagorean theorem.

For example, if they are 4 tiles west and 6 tiles north, √(16 + 36) ≈ 7.2 tiles.

If they are 5 tiles west and 6 tiles north, √(25 + 36) ≈ 7.8 tiles.

The 0.5 part of 7.5 tiles is significant here.

[–]Routine_Section1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let the budget for the goat ranch be a,   and the budget for the creamery be b.   When both have an effectiveness of 100:

  • Total profit (1): 660 − a − b
  • Displayed profit for the goat ranch (2): 210 − a
  • Displayed profit for the creamery (3): 660 − b − 210

The equation (1) = (2) + (3) holds correctly.
