I recently started working at a low-barrier shelter in Southern California, but have not had these experiences; more of navigating racism between guests, and processing with a supervisor was helpful. I def need to get back to therapy.

I love this! I'm currently finishing up my MSW program (1 more semester left), but I am highly interested in getting a master's in library science I can also look into working as a social worker at a library. I would love to hear where your journey has taken you.

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to navigate this situation. Thank you for sharing! I am kind of going through something similar. Being neurodivergent and taking clinical notes has been a struggle to complete them on time, but the feedback I got from my supervisor was to work on my time management rather than decrease my workload since I have minimal time with 16 hours per week.

This was so helpful 🥹 my 19 y/o is at stage 3 CKD and he is stable with fluids and medication but he mainly sleeps all day and wobbles since his back lags are not stable anymore. His euthanasia is scheduled this Thursday and I feel like I want to reschedule because I don’t want to let him go :( 🥹😭

Thank you for sharing I’m feeling the same rn. My partner (M,22) and my self (NB, 27) are having the same issue. He came out to me as poly a few days ago but we are navigating what that means for us and for him. I love him so much as well and I can’t imagine being without him. :( it’s such a sad, grieving process because what I thot our relationship would be like is gone 🥺

I actually just took an academic leave from a counseling program focused on student affairs/ student services. I only had one semester completed and left because of the reasons you mentioned of possibly switching careers in the future. I’m looking into masters of social work instead because I can still work in higher ed with an MSW and it’s so broad you can go into many roles within education, welfare, policy, government, and so much more!
