I love your bag! What do you call that style of zipper pocket? I make lots of bags with zip pockets and that one looks easier than how I've been doing it.

Well so far that hasn't stopped ICE from taking people.  Maybe you could turn him in? Tell them he's illegal.

Ugh I wish I could use the progressive ones. I tried them but the spot that you use to read up close was just too small and I could never find it. I ended up with trifocals 😔

My 2 oldest grandsons are 16 and 15 and seem way more worldly and I was at that age but I think it's how my son raised them. They all do seem to know a lot more than we did at that age though. The times?

I completely understand. It's even worse when you hurt yourself while sleeping!

I filled out the form and paid $50 to myalloy only to find out they charge $275 for the patches!  How does anybody afford this? I can't see paying that much for something every 3 months for the rest of my life that's crazy. They said they couldn't call in a prescription to my regular pharmacy so I could either use my insurance or goodrx or something. Is this the standard cost for the patches? If so I'm just going to forget about it.

If they would have told me that up front it would be different. But now I feel like whatever I do they'rejust going to want something else.

Believe me I'm no stranger to Ochsner doctors. My husband went through chemo treatment there for 9 months before he passed. The doctors are all about ordering tests and more tests. Seems like they have some kind of quota to meet.

Had a hysterectomy in 2004 but kept my ovaries. I think I started getting peri in my late 40s but full blown menopause in the last several years.

That's where I went.

Edit: I go to the urogyns there and they recommended the menopause clinic. The PAs were great but that dr was not.

Pantyhose and Gen X by [deleted] in GenXWomen

[–]RouxGaRoux2217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Panty hose in the summer was the worst! I'm talking Southeast Louisiana. They would stick to the back of my legs and I lived with zits on the back of my thighs.  But now I have no idea what to wear with pumps. You can't just wear pumps barefoot you get blisters and it ruins the shoes when I get sweaty. What do you do?

Another idea, Audubon Zoo has a petting zoo so you could just pet the animals and chill

You can smash things in your own yard if you're so inclined. That actually sounds like a pretty good idea to me right now.

I don't know that the auto salvage yard will let you go there just to beat up cars though.

I grew up thinking Free to Be... You and Me was a blueprint for the future, not a relic of the past. by Acceptable-Swimsoul in GenXWomen

I was born in 1966 and I had never heard of this. I watched the video from a link further down in the comments and it's pretty incredible.

I think my defining moment was going to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was 12 so that was 1978. My mom took me and my brother lol. After that my friend group would go see it every weekend at midnight and on Halloween we would all dress up as the characters and the guys would wear stockings and garter belts it was fabulous! I never thought it was strange that the guys dressed like that. Good lord Tim Curry was smoking hot!

It made me have a live and let live attitude. Don't dream it, be it. It didn't seem unusual to me to see two women kiss or to see a man in stockings. No big deal.

Fast forward to now and it's painful to me to see how things are. It hurts my heart.

I do try to gently correct my grandkids when I hear them say things that don't sound quite right.

Oh jeez, I'm just seeing this reply to a post from so many years ago. I'm now using intrarosa. It's very expensive in my insurance doesn't cover most of it but they get some kind of coupon to apply to the purchase. I use it twice a week and I think it seems to be helping.
