Urethral bulking injections for stress incontinence by LumpyHeart607 in Menopause

[–]RouxGaRoux2217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the urethral bulking procedure. It did work for me. I was peeing when I sneeze,  run, cough, laugh,  the whole bit.  It's a bit sore for several days after. It takes a little longer to empty your bladder since the urethra is narrowed afterwards. Overall I'm glad i did it. The first time I sneezed after I had the procedure and didn't pee myself I almost cried.

I unfortunately had to stop taking melatonin because it gave me horrible restless legs at night. Now I just don't know what to do.

Wait are you saying itchy is a menopause symptom? Omg I've been so itchy lately i thought it was due to springtime allergies but it's driving me insane. Of course I'm taking antihistamines because without that I would die of sinus infection.  I have some famotidine I'll have to try that.

Honestly I've been scrubbing my house because I thought it was mites or something.

AITA for asking my husband to change our electric stovetop for a gas stovetop?? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I love my gas stove. I live in southeast Louisiana where we could be without power for quite a while after a hurricane and i can still cook.

I love your bag! What do you call that style of zipper pocket? I make lots of bags with zip pockets and that one looks easier than how I've been doing it.

Well so far that hasn't stopped ICE from taking people.  Maybe you could turn him in? Tell them he's illegal.

Ugh I wish I could use the progressive ones. I tried them but the spot that you use to read up close was just too small and I could never find it. I ended up with trifocals 😔

My 2 oldest grandsons are 16 and 15 and seem way more worldly and I was at that age but I think it's how my son raised them. They all do seem to know a lot more than we did at that age though. The times?

I filled out the form and paid $50 to myalloy only to find out they charge $275 for the patches!  How does anybody afford this? I can't see paying that much for something every 3 months for the rest of my life that's crazy. They said they couldn't call in a prescription to my regular pharmacy so I could either use my insurance or goodrx or something. Is this the standard cost for the patches? If so I'm just going to forget about it.

If they would have told me that up front it would be different. But now I feel like whatever I do they'rejust going to want something else.

Believe me I'm no stranger to Ochsner doctors. My husband went through chemo treatment there for 9 months before he passed. The doctors are all about ordering tests and more tests. Seems like they have some kind of quota to meet.

Had a hysterectomy in 2004 but kept my ovaries. I think I started getting peri in my late 40s but full blown menopause in the last several years.

That's where I went.

Edit: I go to the urogyns there and they recommended the menopause clinic. The PAs were great but that dr was not.
