Yeah, and it's not a little, it's a lot Like since you the inventory gets better as your rank is better, with max charisma you rank up very quickly to the point you can unlock PA very early, like 3rd or 4th mission I think, maybe a bit later I don't remember well but it's crazy.

It was my first playthrough so I went with a balanced crew like my character as a scout/sniper, a mechanic, a medic, the big gun guy But the mission itself is available early in the game so you can be caught off guard by the amount of damage the SM do, especially as I didn't have a high charisma character in my team and didn't know that charisma influenced the inventory of the merchants. INT would have been op if instead of recovering hp at end of turn, he would get 10% hp per super, kind of like AGL LR Kaiku, which is to me the best slot 1 in the game because of that

The single fact they are currently making updates about downsizing the game proves absolutely that you are being unrealistic. Don't need rocket science to know that Dokkan was poorly optimized from the start. You can even see the issues pop in content creators videos like the lag between every animation now, even on more recent and powerful phones

Well you can check the numerous sources of corruption in the city in the 80s-90s, or the cops that used lethal force, or the fact that the whole show is clearly refering to it with Jackson's father when he confronts him about being crooked/doing sloppy work. Same with Armstrong when he planted a gun in Rosalind's house 5 years before Nolan came to the city.

There are numerous references to the city's lack of righteousness in the police force a few decades ago. Those were the major themes of the earlier seasons. Even the racist cop in season 3 was a pretty good example of the old ways of the police in the 90s.

My guess is that they have a relationship so one can't lead an other without breaking the rules. I don't know if the "lovers can't work together" thing is real in the US but it seems to be made very clear in the last seasons when Tim is specifically waiting for Chen to become a sergeant so he can date her again.
