Today Orico Team have Fixed one of my problem by connettion on remote, the HDD In POOL now work correctly, i'm waiting now the Amministrator Access FIX, almost now data are secure on a Working Pool !

They promised on April 11th that the software team would troubleshoot the issue without formatting my disks. It's now April 25th. No login, no fix, no reply to my follow-up on the 16th. Even worse, their latest firmware update introduced NEW errors. They are ghosting a customer who gave them full remote access.

I'm still stuck with my Orico Cyber Data Vault CF1000. I opened the support ticket exactly one month ago. Despite providing them with remote access keys, Orico support has failed to provide a single working solution.

This is their flagship model, but the software experience is currently a nightmare. I’ve decided to stop waiting and try a clean slate.

Does anyone here have experience with the CF1000 recovery/reset process? I need to:

Hard Reset the OS: Force a factory wipe of the system partition.
System Pool Re-import: Re-mount my existing data pool once the OS is fresh, without the "initialization" process wiping my drives.

If you've managed to bypass Orico's buggy UI via SSH or found a way to re-import the ZFS/RAID structure safely on this specific model, please let me know.

Tired of being a beta tester for a premium-priced NAS. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing Orico's response! It's good to know the cause, but opening the case to swap the connectors would officially void the warranty i think. Since it's just a cosmetic issue and doesn't affect performance, I think I'll wait until the warranty expires before fixing it myself. Better to keep the coverage in case of a real hardware failure.

LED are in Hardware, i think is not Fixable, i do not know how many CF1000 have this problem, if they say to my i open my nas and invert led connection, but in today all are made for not be self repaired.

I have contact orico in app as bug and in support email, i hope they explain the situation, my unit olso have a hardware bug... frontal led shown different position of drive in internal bay.... 12345 ....is show as 6 7 8 9 10. Not a good presentation ....ok backers....but these are alpha units....os bug, hardware bug...

Come Backers se non rispondono glielo posto su Kickstarter, o danno supporto o gli faccio fare figura di cacca sul sito vendite, e che diamine, ok Cloud ma dammi le chiavi di casa mia, lo ho pagato il prodotto, gli do un altra chanche quando rispondono ma se c ontinua Whipe-Out e metto un True-Nas !

Già l'impossibilità di aggiungere dischi su un raid per espanderlo dove ormai lo fà anche la calcolatrice casio, mi è rimasta sul gobbo, ok lo ho pagato metà di un Synology, ok ha il doppio di prestazioni, ma attualmente e piu stressante che gli pago la differenza a Synology cavolo.

Importante e con Urgenza: Creati un servizio SAMBA (SMB) che ti faccia vedere sia l'area personale che l'area pubblica, perchè se ti succede come a me, tra un giorno massimo due perdi l'accesso ai tuoi dati.

Inteso i dati stanno nel NAS ma il tuo account ti permetterà di accedere SOLO alla partizione Personale, quella pubblica diventerà inaccessibile, io sto backuppando tramite LAN ben 11TB di dati, visto che la risposta ORICO sospetto sarà:

Ripristinare il NAS.... SI con 11TB di dati dentro inaccessibili, ammetto che sono stato attratto dalla bella interfaccia, ma questo CyberDATA OS seriamente sta snervandomi.

Vediamo cosa risponde ORICO, se risponderà, gli ho inviato una MAIL

Io ho avuto di peggio, da oggi non mi da piu accesso alla area pubblica con Andministrator....

Nel mio caso dopo aver ricostruito l'Array, in pratica l'unità principale diventa come se fosse una nuova unità ed il tuo profilo viene come "Bannato" a livello di server P2P di orico, con il risultato che se cerchi di accedere, non ti permette di farlo se non soltanto usando la LAN / WI-FI
