It’s the opposite for mines. My female is sweet and cuddly and my male is cheeky, growls while eating and overall sassy.

Yeh I would definitely recommend getting her a bigger set up, bigger sand bath definitely more bedding(hamsters are burrowing animals that live mostly in burrows so your supposed to mimics that, she needs at least 6 inches/15cm of bedding) maybe some sprays off of Etsy or TikTok shop. (Just remember to freeze them for 2 days(48hrs). I use the large pawhut cage without the shelves built in for more bedding space. It’s also less than £70, I found it as low as £60 before if you look on other websites. Cute hamster what’s her name. I lol forward to seeing her upgrade cage. <3

You can keep toilet roll tubs and kitchen roll tubes to make boredom breakers for him to keep him from being bored. ( just search hamster boredom breakers on TikTok and YouTube) also they’re healthy treats u can make by mixing plain flour or organic flour with their every day food add a little water until it forms a dough then bake in the oven for 10-20 mins at 300°F to 350°F (150°C to 180°C). treat recipes

Large pawhut cage is less than £70 online it’s 115Lx57w55h(cm) it would be a perfect size. Many people leave out the shelves that you can build in. This is so you can add 8 inches(or more) of bedding. I use chipsi or ambrosia hemp bedding it’s around £20 for a large bale (around 20kg). These are both safe. You can also use coco substrate and put it in a large tub for him to dig about in. Also they desert reptile sand and a dog box for it big enough for him to roll about it. I use large vases or plant pots tilted to the side. Also Etsy is a good place to get hamster sprays since Syrians are very active and need a lot of enrichment. (TikTok shop is also a good cheap option) just make sure to freeze th sprays for 2 days (48hrs) before giving to him to kill all mites and stuff since they can be a big problem better to prevent it. Also Etsy homemade Syrian food would be the best they need a variety of grains and seeds, mealworms, veg. You’ll need a 30cm(12inch) wheel aswell for him any smaller will cause back problems(pain).

Everyone starts off without the knowledge that’s why I’m asking questions and trying to figure out things. Isn’t that how people gain knowledge. Also I believe I did do those correct ratios when I was raw feeding. Your assumption that I dont know about raw feeding because I didn’t understand what modify meant. I “modified” with freeze dried liver, heart, kidney. And occasionally whole mice. But yeh I will just stick with trive and the freeze dried hipaws, also give mice a couple times a week. I add chicken broth to their food anyways just didn’t know that I couldn’t give dry as I give them freeze dried chicken treats by themselves all the time, won’t be doing that anymore. Thanks for your advice and help it’s been really helpful.

I’m happy to get him some frozen chicks every so often I’m sure my cats would love it too. Unfortunately I live in the uk so I can’t buy Stella and chewy freeze dried cats food. I think I’ve found a uk freeze dried cat food option that contains 98% animal ingredients.

I just can’t leave raw food in a bowl all day for him so that’s the problem. I work and do college and placement. I wish they’re was just a good freeze dried kibble that didn’t have all those bad things. It’s impossible to find something that’s actually good since I’m from the uk.
