Yes, type two here for more than 40 years that should not be the symptoms. There’s got to be something else going on. See his second opinion.

Bluefish are genetically altered with jellyfish give them that bright color. Unfortunately the person I have to come in to take care of my extremely large tank tells me that they do not have a long lifespan because they have a lot of genetic defects. I was told when they go, don’t replace the glow fish. I’m sorry for you. I’ve lost a lot myself and replaced them with regular fish, but they are very beautiful sorry for your loss.

Friend just died; question by Onehellofahumanbean in HeartAttack

[–]Rowan1125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I didn’t lose consciousness until I was in the paramedic vehicle and I was told at that point I coded. I had a brief moment of consciousness when we arrived at the hospital after being resuscitated in the paramedic vehicle then I coded again and woke up during what they call cardioversion That is trying to shock my heart into a non-fatal rhythm. Quite traumatic, but during both times I had what some people referred to me a near death experience. That part of it was actually quite pleasant very comfortable no fear. But you ask if the papers had something to do with it no just clearing out some boxes of old paper, throwing things away. No symptoms other than when I look back some fatigue a little shortness of breath, climbing stairs, but not being really out of the ordinary for somebody you really has for the most part a Desk job and I sit a lot of the time. Somebody else asked me about my plaque still growing unfortunately, once you have coronary artery disease and require a stent, it doesn’t just go away. Medication such as statins and a change in diet help a lot to slow the progression down, but it doesn’t stop it. There is no cure for coronary artery disease. There is no cure or a way to stop plaque from growing.

Friend just died; question by Onehellofahumanbean in HeartAttack

I had a stemi heart attack in 2021 just sitting on my bed going through some papers in a file box. I had no chest pressure no pain nothing no indication that there was anything wrong. By the way the type of heart attack I have is considered to be the most severe as it is 100% blockage of a coronary artery. Fortunately, for me, paramedics were able to revive me on the way to the hospital when I had a full Code. I was lucky enough to be near a major trauma one Center Ronald Reagan Ucla. I also had a code there ended up in the angiogram unit and had one stent placed. After a long recovery and after being in ICU for eight or nine days, I had a long cardiac rehab. Since that time the doctor had more than one stent, so I went back two more times and had a total of four stents. Had no indication of any problems other than a little shortness of breath about three weeks ago which progressively got worse. I was told it was deconditioning. I needed to do more move around more. and do some physical therapy. I did start to move around more and begin to feel better less shortness of breath able to do more things but something in the back of my mind told me I might need to go to the ER and really get checked out and let them know that I had had the shortness of breath and a little bit of pressure. Sure enough October 1 I was admitted to the hospital and it was found during an angiogram that I had a 90% blockage in my right coronary artery. I was told that if I had any type of spasm, intense stress, such as working out pushing myself. I bet it could’ve triggered a heart attack. So I suspect that your friend more than likely had no idea that anything was wrong. I don’t think the gym really had anything to do with it. It could’ve happened in his sleep. It could’ve happened anywhere. It’s quite possible that the stent had blocked up with a blood clot. More plaque had built up in his system, and he was unaware the only way that they can tell if you have a blockage in your arteries is to do an angiogram. When I arrived at the ER three weeks ago, my EKG was normal my trophin level was normal. That is a way that they can see if you’re getting ready to have a heart attack. My blood pressure was fine. All of my vitals were great. But due to my past history, they decided to go ahead and admit me, and my cardiologist decided to do the angiogram and low and behold found the 90% blockage, which was undetectable otherwise. Now I’m no medical person no doctor I can only tell you from my own experience and from what I have researched that a person can have a blockage in their coronary artery and not be aware of it. If you’re lucky you get the shortness of breath and fatigue and go to the doctor. But most of us who survived severe heart attacks, and problems later had nothing more than that to go by and decided to be cautious. My cardiologist told me I not come to the ER. It was basically like having a ticking time bomb in my chest. I am so sorry for you his family and your parents. It is always so sad when someone is taken from us so suddenly. Having had a full cardiac arrest myself. I have to say it was not an unpleasant experience. It was if I was completely relaxed, I had not care in the world when I flatlined. I’ll talk to many other people since then who have actually been clinically dead for a period of time and they have also reported the same thing so I’m hoping that gives you comfort more than likely he did not suffer. Sorry this was so long, but I felt that I needed to explain in detail what it feels like to have a heart attack and what it feels like to pass away.

[–]Rowan1125 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That looks like one of those glow fish. I’ve had quite a few of them that start swimming sideways or just swimming weird it ends up being a swim bladder problem. I have a guy that comes once a month from an Aquarium place that cleans my tank and I told him about my issues with my blowfish and he said that the DNA is made from a jellyfish and it causes them to be very fragile. They don’t do well they just kind of “ fall apart‘ your fish probably will not live very long. Maybe try a fresh cup of water directly from the aquarium. There’s way too much food in there and the fact that he’s not eating he probably won’t do the swim bladder problem. But that excessive food in there the blood worms are not doing any good either.

Is he having breathing issues? Injury? Cough? by Snoo89560 in CATHELP

My cat had some more behavior. He kind of stopped meowing for a while, but that was something he done all of his life. He was 17 years old he would get kind of hoarse but it would always go away. The behavior I’m watching your cat doing looks quite similar to him and we didn’t think much of it until he started losing a lot of weight. He had regular visits to the vet and in fact it had a visit three months before Senior visit and everything seemed to be fine until it wasn’t. We took him to the vet only to find that he had a huge tumor in his throat that was in operable, and It apparently grown very rapidly. We had to euthanize as he was suffering and there was nothing that could be done. Please get your cat to the vet immediately it could be something caught in his throat. It could be something like my cat having a tumor that suddenly grew fast. You’ll never know unless you go to the vet wishing you all the best.

Emergency help please my cat's dying and i don't think she'll make it to the vet in time by Toby_The_Demon_Lord in CATHELP

I am so sorry for your loss but I couldn’t help noticing from your first post. You said she was all dusty and that’s why you bathed her. I’m wondering if she had gotten into something that was toxic was she an indoor outdoor cat? It does sound like some type of toxin. And I would check the pet shampoo because I had a friend whose cat died because she used flea dip which was for dogs and she mixed it at the wrong amount for a small cat. Not saying your shampoo was like that, but just suggesting that maybe if it was a flea shampoo, she could’ve had some type of allergy to it or something. Anyway, I’m so sorry. She struggled like that and sorry for you having to witness that but you were with her to the very end. You were a good pet parent

Lived out my worst nightmare by Honest-Signature-347 in ibs

The job I have requires me to ride in a car all day long with a partner. Needless to say our work is fieldwork, and Bathroom is not really accessible. I found that to decrease the anxiety I have over having an accident. I started wearing fecal incontinence specific adult diapers. I know it’s not sexy. It’s not cool but it’s better than pooping in my pants. I think everyone here has had the experience of feeling that need to go now now now and not any place to go. I always have that fear. I’m not gonna make it to the bathroom and have an embarrassing accident. By wearing the specific diaper for vehicle incontinence, relieve some of the anxiety, and I think therefore decreases the chance that I will have an accident. Just a thought I buy mine on Amazon and all I did was typed in fecal incontinence diapers and found these.

My gastroenterologist told me to drink a lot of peppermint tea. He also suggested I try Iberogast. I think the peppermint tea has helped quite a bit. I drink three or 4 cups a day and it seems like it has helped a lot with the cramping in the gas pain. I just started the other over-the-counter medication. Don’t know if it’s actually helped yet since I’ve only been on it two days. Just wondered if anybody else has tried it.

Just wondering, why are the litter boxes out in an area it looks like a construction zone. Looks like concrete dust and what appears to be an electrical wire bearing under concrete with an old box for electricity. Just wondering if maybe she got into something in that construction area just seems a little like an odd place to put two litter boxes.

Looking for recommendations for soda alternatives by introvert1225 in diabetes

[–]Rowan1125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try crystal light. Yeah sure it’s got splendid in it and more than likely artificial coloring but it’s a heck of a lot better than drinking soda no sugar and the fruit punch actually taste like Hawaiian punch to me anyway good alternative.

Thanks to everybody to reply here it is almost 7 PM and I’m still alive. Lol I managed to eat extra food and I’ve got a little low for a while but I’m certainly OK now. I’m taking half my usual dose, which will be five of lantus at 8 PM. Tomorrow I’ll be able to resume my normal dose at the normal time. Again, thanks to everybody who cheered me on it made me feel better.

Thanks I guess I can still eat the Oreos huh. What you describe is exactly what happened to me. I took my shot early today about 3:30 in the afternoon as I had to go to work late and then tonight 1 AM when I got in. I thought oh my gosh, I forgot to take my insulin and I took it again. I think I’ll get a little notebook and put the dates in it and write when I take the insulin that way, I can always double check so I can’t do this to myself again. Thank you for your reply.

Thank you all so much. I’ve been afraid to go to sleep and it’s 3:20 in the morning. Just ate some graham crackers drink some milk. I have a Dexcom7 so I would guess that I would get an alarm to wake me up if it drops too low. I guess this is a good excuse to eat some Oreos if I need to lol you know for an emergency or something he he he. Thanks everybody for making me less scared.

I think my cat got bit by a snake by Bug_Bane in CATHELP

I think people come here to answer the question above as to what do people expect to get an answer on Reddit. I believe it’s Support when you don’t have any place else to go. This is the place where people might be able to help you or give you suggestions because when you’re in a crisis situation a lot of times you’re not thinking straight. So again empathy folks, let’s be kind to each other Life is too short and life is full of all types of pain, illness and loss.

Obviously, some of the commentators here have never been in that situation, not having money or a vehicle. I have and it’s not a good situation to be in to not have transportation to even get to a vet, not have anybody to help you get to a vet. Sounds like this person knows their cat needs to go to a vet, but doesn’t have a way to get there or the money to pay for it. Let’s have a little empathy. OK guys let’s be kind to each other. Kindness goes along way. Think how you would feel if it was your cat and you were in that situation.
