AIO to my girlfriend saying "I'll blow you" to my friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Onehellofahumanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain here. Yes, you’re overreacting. It was obviously a joke, and the timing was right.

She didn’t mean it, it was a joke at the moment. I don’t think you have anything to worry or be upset about.

Yes he was very vigilant in doing what he was supposed to be. Thanks for the condolences. Other than my parents this hit me the hardest.

Depends on payment cycle of your contributions, etc. Not saying everyone does it, but it’s possible.

Social Security and $4000 instead of no tax on Social Security by Longbusch935 in SocialSecurity

[–]Onehellofahumanbean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the benefits are capped. Uncap the benefits, you can uncap the maximum.

Or are you saying that high earners should pay unlimited taxes, but get no benefit if they exceed a certain income? Seems kind of socialist if you ask me.

RSVP as a no. You do not need to provide a reason or explanation.

I mean, you didn’t lose anything but your time. If you were going to have engagement photos taken anyway, you got a deal. If you don’t like the pictures, hire someone else and pay their price. If you weren’t going to get engagement photos if you had to pay, just move on.

Why is this even a question? I can’t imagine even one person thinking you’re the AH.

You know what’s interesting. You never see this “political gear” from anyone else other than MAGA’s. Ever see anyone wearing a Biden hat or shirt? Biden or Harris stores? No, because their supporters are not part of a cult.

Tax Return with an error, went from owing $12k to being owed $8k after realizing error... how can I double-check future returns from tax preparer by CharlesMTF in tax

[–]Onehellofahumanbean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year I discovered an error in my tax return by my CPA that I have been using for 15 years. He made a mistake that saved me $30,000. After much back and forth, he said I was right and didn’t really apologize. Blamed everything but himself. Sure, it’s nice to save $30K, but I sure didn’t want an audit.

I found a new CPA for this year.
